Can we please remove survivor collision after a certain period?

I understand why collision is in the game and it should be. But can we put a time limit on it to prevent survivors griefing each other in match?

I’ve had too many matches of solo teammates body blocking me in corners while I have all 3 crows because they’re mad I wouldn’t immediately jump off my Gen to heal them, I wouldn’t let them heal me, or whatever it is that they decide to be a troll and grief their teammates for.

Had a Bill block me in the Gen room in the house on Badham for 5 minutes because I wouldn’t let him heal me until I finished the Gen. Had another match where a claudette didn’t want me on the same Gen as her and spent the match following me around throwing pallets. At endgame, the knight was camping one exit gate with his ghosts and she blocked the other exit gate latch and wouldn't open it until the very last second, then used sprint burst to get out of match where I died to EGC.

Yes I know you can report these people and I do trust me. But it would be better if we had the ability to prevent this in the first place. Maybe put something in where if we are constantly pushing into the same teammate for 10 seconds then the collision disappears so we can get out? 10 seconds is a long time in this game and wouldn’t affect collision in a way to punish the killer by removing collision during chase or anything like that. I would even take 15 seconds so long as I could get out of these griefing situations.

Are you sure you weren't making a cup of coffee instead of doing gens?

You're making this sound like an every day problem when it's more like a once a year problem. There are probably 4762 issues that should be looked at before this one.

Also, if someone wants to heal you, just let them heal you.

Getting healed up can mean you're going to die if the killer sees you again. I forgo heals often when it's a 1 shot killer like billy or Bubba, as dead hard is much more valuable than 2 health states. And this is just one reason.

Not to say OP is right and this needs attention, but the last sentence you added really made me chuckle lol.

Yeah, a Claudette blocked my friend in an alcove because he was doing bones. She got a bird and didn't move until the killer came over, at which point she ran off and my friend went down.

Once a survivor gets a bird, they should really lose collision or something. It'd be better to prevent this nonsense from happening instead of having to go through the trouble of reporting it. Which, my friend and I didn't bother. Instead, when Claudette got hooked and was being camped in the basement, I hung out in the killer shack above. A bit of revenge was quicker than a report, but preventing the griefing in the first place would be much better.

It is unclear what the maniac was doing if you were blocked before the crows appeared.

5 minutes of inactivity for two players is likely the death of the remaining two.

Half of the matches end in 5 minutes because with the current balance of power this is quite realistic.

Your last comment is simply rude, does not contribute to any discussion and you have no evidence of it. I’m lying because why exactly? I already said I report people that do this and I have no clue if anything is done since we just recently got report feedback added to the game but as I said in my OP, it would be better to simply prevent griefing to begin with instead of having it ruin the game and having to report it after.

Accusing someone of lying just for the sake of is really weird not to mention outright rude. Have a good one.

ill never stop finding it funny on here how so many people have the viewpoint that “If I haven’t seen it it’s not an issue.”

Also I’m not required to let someone heal me if I don’t think it’s the opportune time to do it in the game. “If you don’t want to be griefed do what your teammates want when they want it” is a really weird take.

Dude, you have no clue whether it's true or not. You really shouldn't go around implying that people are lying unless you can actually demonstrate that's the case.

Very true! Make that work against killers bodyblocking as well.

Hey CrackedShevaMain, I agree with you. The devs really need to do something about griefing, unhook spamming (unhook cancelling) and purposely body blocking in a corner should definitely be removed. Having a griefer body block you in a spot you can't get out of is infuriating, as you only have 3 options: Go AFK, sit there and take it, or leave the match and recieve a matchmaking ban. It's just really bad game design.

Considering the fact that certain types of griefing like bodyblocking are reportable, it should be a no-brainer to make it preventable instead of reportable.

Why would you allow certain mechanics to happen in your game and make it a reportable offense when you could just remove that simple thing from existing in the first place? I agree. If you're stuck in a corner because you're being body-blocked by either teammates or the killer until you get a crow, you should lose collision.

Same for gamers who unhook/cancel non-stop, if it happens more than 5 times by the same survivor in quick succession they should get an unhook timer or just be teleported to the other side of the map, IDK but there should be something preventing them from grieving entirely. 🤷‍♀️

But IG it is cheaper to make something reportable and not do anything with those reports instead of actually doing something against it.

The late George Carlin said, "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.' It's applicable here because I've been griefed in a match by people assuming something based on their own bad habits and instead of, you know, doing generators, they think it's more important to stand around.

I think the only issue here is there's no way to mitigate that. One of the comments here pointed out that it's not a common enough happening to be looked at.

How would they know though? People saying it doesn’t happen enough to be looked at? Im curious where they get that info from? Because right now it seems like another case of “I don’t see it happen so it doesn’t happen.”

And I’m not saying I have data to show that it happens a majority of the time. Im simply saying can it be something that at least gets looked at? Because whether it happens 100 times or 1000 it’s still ruining the game for other people. Im not asking for it to happen tomorrow just asking if it’s possible for it to happen at all.
