I think the add on could be changed but I think scamper is actually ok.

Chucky's in a very good state imo. Strong power but also has counterplay. I think the Scamper nerf was enough to make it more fair and the extra 20% range on Slice and Dice feels good.
I was a little surprised to see the Rat Poison addon buffed from the PTB though, it kind of feels like Compound 21 where it just takes away too much mindgame potential for the survivors. I think that should be reverted to PTB strength (same effect, but 8 meter range instead of 12). Hair Spray and Candle is also still kind of bad despite being buffed and could probably get another buff. The rest of the addon changes from PTB seem fine.
He also seems a little difficult to blind at pallets compared to most other killers, does he have a smaller blind hitbox? It's normal for flashlight saves since you have to blind the ghost instead but when breaking a pallet it seems unusually difficult to do a flashlight blind correctly.

Chucky's Slice & Dice hitbox is a ######### joke, even worse than Oni's Demon Strike

i play survivor 90% of the time, but i did try out chucky. he felt very easy to use, got a 4k with 1 gen left my first match. the FOV feels too OP. why not give him Victor’s FOV? Survivors kept hiding from me and I could see them clear as day. i only ran brutal strength on him (for a challenge lol). his mori is awesome.
versing him as survivor though, i have escaped only two times. (i would say my escape rate is usually 50/50) i have played probably 25+ matches against him already. it’s a bit disappointing that he seems to have the best of everything: stealth, good FOV, fast vaults, ability to slide under pallets, an extremely small body that’s hard to see even when he’s detectable, hard to blind, and his special ability being a dash feels OP/maybe even lazy on the game design side of things, too similar to blight or wesker. i feel like there were so many other options for a good special attack or power. it feels like — why wouldn’t someone play him? he’s like killer on easy mode.
he goes undetectable what feels like once every 45 seconds with no way to reveal him (i think?). pair all of his basekit benefits with his new perk, friends til the end, and you’ve made it so hard to escape.
i have around 2000 hrs on survivor, i’m just a bit underwhelmed by this chapter. i love his design and the feel of the chapter, but i can’t play more than 3 matches solo q against him without giving up.

Hi Bhvr Hi everyone yusup.
Im coming here to the forum to report my personal experiences and those of some close friends when playing with Chucky on the console.
Atmo im currently playing on the Xbox Series X and the main complaint(mine and that of friends who also are on console) is that the slice and dice mode is extremely "stuck/stick" and difficult to handle the camera/aim, and unless the survivor is in a straight line or in a exact 90° degrees, it is almost impossible to get the hit.
I thought it was something common to everyone but I saw that on the PC platform it is possible to have much more flexible control of the curve, something that on the console seems like there is something completely "locking" the curve/camera when you dash.
Dear Bhvr, would it be possible to add a specific tweak for this killer on the console/control? the same way you have done with blight in the past. It would help a lot to the countless players who play on the console!
Thanks anyway for anyone reading

scamper into hug tech is incredibly strong. scampering should make you come out of hidey ho
2 -
It's become very boring as a survivor now . He's to overpowered. I just played against him again and as I became the last survivor guess what I became the obsession so he knew exactly where I was, how fair is that. Survivors don't stand a chance.
4 -
start dashing → turn right+ a/d → scamper starts but since you're turning away.
can move camera freely for 5~10 frames(60fps)
just like highBili with LoPro Chains add-ons
cool down is too long whit no addons. Force the player to choose cooldown-related addons.
make that longer, after addons(Power Drill etc.), still need 18s cooldown. let them learn how to use that wisely.
2 -
Only a handful of matches as Surv so far, but it is far too easy to proxy-camp and get free wins currently. You can't see him, but he can see around all the corners. Combined with on-demand stealth, too many Killers just get a hit on rescuer 1, then Hidey-Ho camp out a free hit into hook trade on rescuer 2. That basically means free win against soloq, and only SWF actually has a chance to play against him. Even with a hook trade though it is too easy for him to turbo-tunnel post-hook.
If he is in Hidey-Ho, then you can't tell where he is at all when he uses it to approach (maybe footsteps are bugged?). Every time it only showed me his fake footsteps in the open, and not (fake steps) through walls or where he is approaching from. Mid loop it seems fine though.
4 -
his hitbox definitely needs looked at
3 -
so i'm not the only one thinking he has a disgusting hitbox. i've been hit when the killer's attack was way behind me and i even took damage by a guy hitting a wall it's like the hitbox is 3 times bigger than the character.
5 -
I love this killer. It's such a treat to play as him and his power feels very much inspired by the movies it's perfect. It's also a really engaging ability too. 3rd person and voice lines also add so much value as well.
Perks are good too. But i'm not too sure about Hex : Two Can Play. I feel like the perk wouldn't be useful at the times it's supposed to trigger. Maybe i need practical experience with it though.
2 -
for killers with higher skill ceilings of course not.
0 -
landing an attack is not higher skill ceilings.

Chucky definitely feels top 3 in terms of power (might even be better than blight) but in an unfair way. A third of games I play against him, survivors DC in first 5 min! Here are the main issues:
-Even though he's 110 speed and suppose to be slower than average killer, at loops he feels faster. Possibly due to his hit box being tiny, so he can hug loops better than average killer. Hidey Hoe is already a great loop mindgame mechanic, but with him being able to hug loops better it feels too powerful at loops. And if you opt to leave loop, he has Slice & Dice to catch up in the open. His hit box needs to be more like average killer to make counter-play balanced.
-Illusionary Foot Falls should be proximity activated (ie. if he is X amount of feet away from you in Hidey Hoe). Having it map wide seems like punishing Solo Que survivors in particular.
-The perk: Friends 'Till The End, has the power of 2 perks! It should Either activate on Obsession getting hooked, OR on a non obsession getting hooked (like Furtive Chase). Not both.
3 -
When will we get to the time when we delete Chucky from the game? I'm tired of disconnecting from every game he is ridiculously OP. The people who says he is balanced, they're either a liar or they love abusing the OP stuff. At least the stealth mode needs to be removed, or make him taller, I don't care if chucky is a short character. He is literally frustrating to play against.
6 -
The footprints that Chucky leaves to give more advantage to the survivors when he goes with the terror radius (without the power activated) is unfair for him, because they can track you at any time in a loop, he is forcing you to use the power when I don't want to. Change this.
0 -
Nothing about Chucky is giving survivors any advantage. Just remove the Chucky and replace him with Vecna
1 -
Landing a dash from blight, chucky or wesker etc defininitly is.
1 -
Chucky is the worst thing to play against, even after xenos broken tail hits.As i like the general idea of his mechanic, I don't see any viable counterplay against him. Vaults? Useless because he just continues his attack after vaulting. What the?! Shack? Useless as he can hit you from (more or less) any point around it, even able to flick 180° inside the doors. Jungle gyms? Well just get hit from anywhere, and even if you vault, you don't gain any distance. He is definetly not hard to "master". I mostly play in SWFs and holy canelloni, the kill rate is absurd compared to anything else we usually get. The only "counter" i found is to permanently do 50/50s and leave loops, which is boring or not even possible if maps are open. I like to play him (easy, and mostly constant wins) but i really don't like to play against him. Please tell me, how can i counter this thing, without relying only on pure luck?
4 -
nope. and if it was that would be a badly designed Killer.
2 -
To clarify about the kinds of maneuvers I’m talking about, these are the all the kinds of maneuvers that make him impossible to dodge at once. (No sleight at this person or anyone, this is just a good example of what I’m trying to describe)
Of course not everyone is going to know how to double the Slice and Dice, but the way this person is able to curve the dash so hard when leaving shack is part of what makes many situations against him feel like a lose-lose scenario.
5 -
So based on matches as him and against him, i think Scamper is the one big issue with the killer, more specifically the fact that he can use it repetitively with no drawbacks at all.
I dont think making it slower would fix it without making it useless, but the one thing that comes to mind is that using scamper should drain his power, like using an M1 does.
Another thing i noticed is that he seems immune to stuns in the middle of his charge attack animation, which yeah, needs to be fixed.
The last thing is that pallets hit him from FAR away, i guess he has the same hit detection as other killers, but it makes it really rough to know when youre safe from a stun or not, cause you have to be surprisingly far
6 -
yeah chucky is disgusting right now he should curve like billy he shoudn't have the right to turn around like that and the worst part is the hitbox that is 3 times bigger than the killer and his knife put together.
5 -
Yeah I love playing as and against Chucky (aside from human specific things, but that's not a fault of the character) - I will say that it does feel like Hex: Two Can Play should get buffed. It doesn't make sense that the concept of the perk is a meme (blastmine) killer perk, but survivors get only 1.5s to the killers 2s. It should be equal. The duration of the blind/stun should be equal for both sides.
3 -
a killer requiring skill is good design though?
2 -
Basic controls is not skill dude.
1 -
playing against him feels frustrating and unfair atm.
i talk for myself but i think those are the main problems:
1) You can't really punish him, dropping a pallet, making distances, vaulting or dodging his dash doesn't work.
what happens if you dodge his first dash? he can keep moving while recovering, so he doesn't get punished like a Nurse or a Blight would for missing and he can bodyblocks you, if he doesn't manage to do that his cooldowns are ridicolously low and will perform another dash soon enough, today i had an embarassing encounter where i literally 360'ed his dash 3 times and guess what he did? Yes another dash right after missing one.
2) third person view feels overkill on him, i understand that's because he is short but holy ######### if you mix the third person view to his power and the stealth (+ addons that gives him wallhack while dashing) he becomes uncounterable.
So i think that Chucky should be punished more for missing and should have longer cooldowns and his kit is too much strong with third person view either reduce his FOV or remove it.
6 -
Learn the controls dude.
0 -
How did he do another dash right after missing one? He has an 18 second cooldown before he can do it again.
1 -
friends til the end needs a cooldown
1 -
I feel like he's too small to be fun to play against in chase.
I get that being a tiny doll is pretty much his entire schtick, but when there is grass taller than him, and the red stain is easier to spot than the actual killer's model, there's a slight problem. Especially when his third-person camera is placed significantly higher than his model, letting him see survivors over and around obstacles while he can't be seen. The game is balanced around giving the survivors a visual advantage, switching it in favour of the killer doesn't feel great.
His footprints are meant to be the answer to this, but they're small and hard to make out when split-second choices can the difference between escaping and getting hit. It's far from being as effective as seeing the actual killer. At box-high loops I'd like to be able to at least see the top of his head.
5 -
Playing against chucky makes the game the most miserable experience ever. First of all I have been in numerous games where I was on the verge of deleting the game because he is so unbalanced. I understand his size i get he is a doll but his size combined with him having no red stain and then sometimes going invisible makes it so unfair in chases and just in general survival. I think maybe he could have a bolder design and a very bright red stain because it’s honestly just not fair or enjoyable to play against. His charge ability i’m not sure what it’s called but he can literally go halfway across the map while being undetectable and down you. I think his scamper ability is unique and a good touch but it means you can’t escape him in a chase maybe slow the animation down so it actually slows him down instead of giving him what i can only describe as a speed boost. My next point might just be a bug but I was being carried by charles and a survivor dropped a pallet directly on to him and clearly made the stun noise but he didn’t drop me which is so unfair. I’m just hoping you can fix him before i get out in black water swamp because then i’ll actually cry myself to sleep.
6 -
I don't care about his perks or his speed... but you can't see him most of the time, he is tiny.
Do you think if the devs added a two foot tall survivor that you could barely see, killers wouldn't have exploded?
8 -
His visibility should be improved when not in power, make the ghost permanent but remove it in hidey ho mode, keeping the stealth aspect purely to his power, which I think makes more sense and balances him out nicely. Cause right now trying to loop him whether in power or not on anything taller than him is very very difficult.
5 -
This chapter is amazing, and Chucky is really fun it's absolutely perfect but... I think you guys should change his power and make it more lethal it's too second chancy and he feels like a baby blight
Now what keep everything the same but make the meter into a passive rage meter instead of cool down idk if I'm wording that right?
How is power should work?
The meter builds up in a slower passive but pallet stuns, flashlight blinds etc increase it moderately. Then you should be able to go into Slice & Dice mode for 40 to 60 Seconds upon manual activation and survivors can then be exposed?
I see it as in the movies if Chucky launches at you with that blade like that people usually go down in one attack.
Scamper should be an ability you could just use but on a cool down.
The stealth should just also be part of his kit and could stay as the rate it uses currently but you would not be able to use slice n dice during or activate it until 5 secs have passed but Slice n Dice should still be able to scamper under pallets.
Also I feel like the Mori may be to comical I do see the Easter Eggs of it but I feel like it's to comical.
New Mori : He should jump on and latch to survivors repeatedly stabbing them until they fall down
Tiffany should probably Slice them across the belly survivor falls to their knees and then she slices their throat with her signature nail file
Thank you for reading this and or considering even changes never happens.

yes! I thought it was me. Because I stunned him twice. Once in a pallet save and once in the hex and both times he used scamper to get a hit on me. Basically rendering pallets useless. There was no stun with either and I was downed with the hex but only hit with the save. Still it proves either he has a bug or he is way OP and there are some serious flaws.
1 -
It's to the point now that I don't want to play if I'm getting a Chucky. I will either just die on hook or just stand there and give up and let me get hooked. I am not enjoying playing against him at all.

So many of our players thoughts that GGuy is too overpowered.
What i think for a few days after release is:
He needs an ability change in many ways.(Recharge time decrease, Hitbox in S&D, Addons that are almost BAD)
People dont want to learn how outplaying him.(And staying afk to the whole game)
Even nerf's didnt do a lot.
Solution for this is one: Back to the ptb and decrease his S&D hitbox size.
Then u see how he is balanced.
What are the downsides to our much-loved killer?
- Now, this is 4.4 killer with 32 meter terror radius, without ability in the early game, with 18 sec to recharge cooldown and 16-15,8 sec with addons.
- Do U used dash?Wait while longer cooldown is over. Without anything to do.
- Do Survivior hold W? So guess when he stops to stun u. Or outrun whole map!
- With 32 meter t.r. u cant go stealthy, cuz in the early game surviviors can hear it and start hiding, or run.
- If u do a scamper, without any fakes, u just loose distance u can get. (Only "scamper" good at god pallets and windows, cuz u dropped, u die. Any other loop useful than this against chucky)
- Addons are bad, so many useless without any help in chase, exept a few.
What are the advantages of our much-loved killer?
- low growth, which allows you to outplay survivors.
- good chase, thanks to S&D.
- Average stealth, which will take a long time to wait its cooldown.
- You can put a survivor into a dying state for one ability if he tries to mindgame you.
- Low cooldown after a miss S&D, which alows u to get some distance in chase.
Thats all!
So this is not such an unbalanced killer)
So theres solution to balance his basekit in a good way.
Ability recharge time are now decrased to 14 seconds.
If u hit a survivior with S&D cooldown takes + 1sec to its cooldown/
If u hit a survivior by basic attack without a hidey-ho, your ability recharges faster.
S&D no longer turn into scamper on pallets and windows.
Addons are reworked or changed in a way to chase survivors faster without ability.
There's no need to nerf it even further, cuz in that case he will be just 4.4 killer with somehow sometimes working ability without any other chances to win the math of that game.
3 -
In a perfect world this is how he is meant to be played. This not how the base killers play him. The camp the blue line of the hook or skate in and out and use slash and dash to take out everyone on 5-4 gen.
However I agree for those that have actually played him without the cheesy ways he is counterable but sadly most won't play that way and it's unfortunate because he will get nerfed because of crappy players. Although there are perk combos that can make you completely undetectable throughout the game which is unfair and needs to be looked at.
A good nerf though would be similar to the nurse's blink needs to happen with slash and dash or scamper. I have been hit twice with scamper after stunning them with a pallet. The hex is way to OP as well, it takes away all survivors defenses too.
1 -
Thats i m talking about, his stealth is realy average. And theres a problem. Not with addons, not with scamper.
All his problems with S&D and nothing less.
If they will nerf litlle bit only S&D i think it will be OK.
But if they will nerf whole ability it will be sad.
Cuz its high risk high reward gameplay, the most times against good surviviors.
If u missed S&D u literally 4.4, with low growth , and thats it.

Chucky isn’t that OP, lol. This is why people demand nerfs. You guys simply don’t want to learn how to play against him. I’ve been playing him since release and I can tell you a lot of the survivors I’m facing have gotten a lot better at dodging and I’ve been losing a lot more. You’ll get better if you don’t act like a child and give up.
6 -
I really dislike playing as or against Chucky. Slice & Dice feels almost guaranteed to hit (I play on console and it's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. Practice in customs and I swear you'll get it down. Unlike Oni you can even get 180 degree turns), Scamper makes unsafe pallets and safe indoor pallets almost worthless, free mind games (feels almost as bad as old Spirit), and he encourages really boring play on both sides. It doesn't feel like I'm making good plays while playing him and it doesn't feel good to play against him.
Chucky is neato and the Child's Play IP is good to see in DbD and is pretty funny in KYF, but he definitely needs some changes to bring the guesswork down.
6 -
Overall, Chucky and one of his perks needs a nerf. This is basically what I THINK could help him, but obviously to each their own
Chucky Himself: Alright, there's a good amount to unbag. Firstly, his Scamper. I see it spammed so much in chases to the point that if he uses it, it should take him out of Hidey-Ho mode. Secondly, his swing animation. I have dodged so many attacks by getting behind him just for him to hard spin in a circle and still hit me. Finally, Slice and Dice could use a turning nerf because I'll be honest, I don't know how many times I've seen myself get away around a corner, only for him to turn 180 and still have sprint left before ending it. I don't know really how to nerf him, but he definitely needs it.
Friends Til' The End: Definitely a top tier perk that needs nerfed. If anything, the aura reveal length could stay the same, MAYBE lower it to 8 seconds at Tier 3 seeing as how it's mostly ran with Lethal Pursuer. The only reason this perk is so annoying is the exposed status. 20 seconds is a long time, and you'll basically always have the killer on top of you before it ends since you have 10 seconds of being revealed [12 if they have LP] and double exposed time. I'd say for this part of the perk, lower the exposed status to maybe 12-15 seconds and lower the aura reveal to lets say 4/6/8 seconds. Anyone who runs Lethal Pursuer will put it back to 10 seconds anyways.
Hex: Two Can Play: I've seen this ran ONCE, and it was on Blight. This could use a buff, so I'd say for this one, make it so that when you reach the stun/blind amount, you still blind them if they stun you, but if they're about to blind you reverse the blind onto them instead and leave the killer with vision. It might sound OP on paper to make it blind the survivor instead of the killer, but in reality it's a welcome change that could make it more viable and stronger against bully squads
Batteries Included: I have NEVER seen this perk ran except for players trying to get Adept Chucky achievement. I'm sure on very specific killers it's strong, but overall it's very low on the list of usable perks. Not really sure how this one could be changed but I'm sure over time it's gonna find more use so just leave it as is for now.
5 -
My main issue with him is that he's just way too small so getting "mind gamed" by him at loops feels like #########. Like congrats you got that hit on me you really outplayed me there... if you were playing any other killer I'd be able to see you and you wouldn't get that hit. I think if he just had his scamper and the ability to go undetectable he'd be strong enough but the fact he can charge after you for a free hit basically after sneaking up on you to get his first free hit just feels realllllyyy ######### to go down to.
5 -
just see for the footfalls, and then he is so easy to mindgame
0 -
You have to be joking… He would be garbage without his dash ability. I’ve been playing him since release and I’ve gotten to a higher mmr and the survivors definitely give me a beating sometimes, lol. He can be countered most of the time.
The only issue he might have is being able to scamper under a pallet and then dash towards survivors. I think it might be fair to cancel his power once he goes under the pallet. I think he would be perfectly balanced with that change.
4 -
Chucky is mediocre at best.
But it won't matter. Too many survivor mains complained already, so he will be nerfed, making him completely unviable like many killers before.
The things posted in this thread. Claim of Chucky being better than Blight. It is beyond ridiculous.
People complaining about the scamper ability......really? Just w shift away, he is is only a 110% movement speed killer. Looping with him takes like forever because he's so slow. You can still hear him while in stealth mode because he has a tendency to cackle.
Using S&D is very tricky. The video posted is invalid evidence. We are talking about him being played as he should be, not while using xyz exploit or whatever. I certainly don't play him like that, i don't even want to know how these exploits work because...well they are exploits!
People claiming he can traverse half across the map using his ability once....Really? In what universe? Certainly not this one.
His S&D hitbox is terrible. Often enough i ran into survivors and nothing happened!
Survivors who know what they are doing, especially SWFs will use you as a toy, literally.
I mean seriously. People complaining about his stealth being too OP, him allegedly being too fast, even though he has 110% movement speed and a 32m terror radius!! What is wrong with you? Ever played against wraith? Wraith is better in many aspects.
Most of this feedback thread is nothing but a farce. People coming in claiming the game is balanced towards killers and that soon there wont be survivors left willing to play the game....right...that's a good one.
Survivors complaining how "unfair" his undetectable is and he's "not fun" to play against. The Hex is unfun and unfair (in my matches the hex goes poof before it has any value, just saying) All his perks are so unfair.....we demand a killer to entertain us, we demand escapes. Whine, whine, whine...... And most of the whiney posts even get votes.
Sadly, BHVR listens to these whiney posts. Chucky will be nerfed for sure because of the excessive whining. That i am 100% sure of.
7 -
Just because you play one way doesn't mean the majority are playing the way it's intended to be played. I agree with you too. I have went up against 2 Chucky's that didn't use any crappy tactics and played a fair game, however the 100 or so other did not. They camp and face camping has returned regardless of the anti camp. Slash n dash allows Chucky to proxy camp and take out whoever goes and saves the hooked survivor and one is usually exposed. Games are ending at 4 gens. If that doesn't get you they are adding NOED. Not only that scamper does not have a cool down or stun.
Don't blame the survivor mains here blame the killer main base that have abused the camping, proxy camping, and tunneling for years. Chucky is the perfect killer for it so they are the ones to blame for the nerfs, not the crying survivor mains. It's been 100% bonus on survivor since he came out, maybe because no one wants to play against him anymore.
4 -
I agree with some of your points. However, if the majority of killer player do camp or slug it must be for a reason. And it's most likely not the reason to troll. Both sides are trying to accomplish their objective. As i understand it, the most efficient way to try to accomplish the objective as a killer is to get one person out of the game as fast as possible. Gens fly pretty fast and there are survivor perks that are uncounterable, like Buckle Up+For the People. Especially funny if several people have this combo in one lobby. Camping and slugging (unbreakable) is the inevitable response to these meta perks. I try to avoid the camping and slugging strat, but what i get for that are flying gens, mentioned perks above plus other stuff like resilience, deja vu, body blocks and pretty much anything that causes endurance and of course lots of t-bags and disrespect. Many survivors play the game like their own lives depend on getting out of the trial and they always have one last crutch perk up their sleeves. When playing "fair" its a real struggle to get 1-2 kills with Chucky. Well i digress. As i mentioned above, the killer is mediocre at best. Give him 115% movement speed and things would be much better. And again i am talking about playing Chucky "as is" not using any exploits or weird strats. The baseline sort of speak. Which is what he should be balanced around. Exploits should not be in the equation, they should be removed from the game.
