Upcoming Live Updates Roadmap

Hello, could you tell me if we will have a solution to the community complaints about the trickster soon or will it be included in a patch along with these changes?
17 -
My guess for Pig is that the ambush will be made either longer, faster or take less time to charge up.
5 -
I can confirm that Trickster is currently being monitored, and we will communicate if there will be any changes.
12 -
you know the rules
nerf pig
9 -
With the Twins update, is it still planned for a partial rework or a complete overhaul? Only asking from the amount of times it's been pushed back over the years.
4 -
I am really scared for DS change. I really hope this is not going to end with another nerf.
3 -
Solution for 3 gen — i'm afraid that killers will be punished for survivors' mistake. Let's look at the implementation, but I doubt it will be a healthy step for the game. I don't think the 3-gene problem exists at all after gen kick meta was nerfed. I wrote more about it here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/378276/there-is-no-problem-with-3-gen-only-with-skully#latest
Onryo — It's sad that killer will be nerfed due to most survivors just completely ignore her counterplay. In my solo games still almost nobody takes a tape and it's ridiculous. But it will be cool if you make her stronger in chase and less oppressive in condemn strategy. But please don't increase tvs' cooldown again, i love her current map pressure.
Blight's addons — really worried that you'll just make them useless, like you've been doing with all addon reworks lately. Blight is the only killer on which I use 70% of his addons, on others I rarely use even 30% of addons. I hope this will persist after the rework.
STBFL – a perk that literally didn't bother anyone until the biggest streamer decided it is problematic. I hope it will at least remain useful, otherwise I will not play m1 killers as much as now.
Quick Gambit — we really need buff another gen repair speed perk? Am I going to endlessly jump through windows at Haddonfield, and everyone within a radius of 32 meters will start up gens 15% faster? Cool, I'm in.
Mangled and Sloppy — No idea what you decided to do with them, but if it's a nerf, I think Botany, We'll Make It and etc. are next on nerf list? I will laugh very hard, if it's nerf.
Killers – My hopes: Hag is 4,5 at least, Ambush buff for pig, wind-up addon basekit for Huntress, addon pass and portals adjustments for Demo, +1 (or even +2) bottles for Clown and yellow bottles -0,5 sec activation speed. Discipline basekit and some useless addons rework for Doctor.
UW — if this nerf will be further than 20 sec of work and 40 sec of cooldown, i guess, welcome to the grave, UW. At least majority of community don't understand that NTH is way better info perk for many killers.
DS — just make this buff fair somehow. I don't want endless bodyblocks and locker spam games again, because survivors feel them extremely safe and weaponized due this perk.
20 -
I expect so much from these updates, expecially from the solution for the 3-gen strat which is one of the most annoying things to deal with and for those killer perks that really need some nerf, this meta is too stale and needs to be shaken up.

Guys we kinda need the decisive buff sooner than April to June you can’t leave survivor in the sorry state it is Atm it’s not fun getting hard tunnelled out with mediocre anti tunnel perks that are nothing compared to old decisive strike.
PLEASE JUST ADD THE FIVE SECONDS BACK IN THE NEXT PATCH it’s literally as simple as changing the number from 3-5 we need more anti tunnel because it’s gotten out of hand ever since you guys nuked that perk
12 -
Please dont touch our Piggy in any negative way.
🐽
11 -
I'm more scared about pig being mentioned.
4 -
It has nothing to do with Trickster, but for my own mental health...
Could you specify what "Killer tweaks" means? What is the difference to "Killer updates"?
I would like to know because....
Pig....
3 -
Please devs we've suffered enough leave Amanda alone. I wouldn't say no to a buff though. Even survivors love her.
Noooooooooooooo!
1 -
How often was it pushed back though?
and it didn’t get pushed back at all after they stated that it’s not gonna be a full rework iirc..
0 -
I said it before.
If they change the pig in any bad way. I will stop playing dbd.
She carried me through over 2 thousand hours of gameplay. Without her, this game would not be the same for me.
Amanda needs to stay the way she is.
But that all comes down to what "Killer tweaks" means and how it is different to "Killer update".
We need to stay strong fellow Boop - enthusiast. 🐽
2 -
They said it's not nerf for Piggy
2 -
@Vanishlord just watched the twitch vod.
I quote:
"At least we got a Pig nerf" - "No we dont"
We have their word. We have power.

"Solution for 3 gen"
so punishing killers for playing i gather.
"Blight changes"
Please don't make his add-ons useless like most add-on changes have been. Nurse, spirit, Hillbilly have all had thier add-ons demolished to being basically useless. and killers like Pyramid head and nemesis have stupid/useless add ons
"Onryo"
Make survivors get good the end
"Decisive Strike"
Fuck that perk, bury it. After playing against OG DS for all those years I never want to see it meta ever again.
12 -
I fear that this game isn’t all about you and just because you want to camp tunnel and 3 Gen make everyone miserable doesn’t mean everyone else wants that
22 -
The sad fact is that if the majority of Killers ever feel like Blight/Nurse, less people will be playing the game in general as it'll be a stress inducing experience I'd imagine. I agree though, Survivor is piss easy at the moment and has been for awhile. QoL changes are always welcome (Killer needs more of them), but they can't seem to find the balance in all the chaos that they've created in the game up to this point.
You think I wouldn't envy their job, but tbh I love attempting to balance things. They just need to stop playing it so safe and find a way to make balance changes as fast as they can Kill Switch things in the game. That way they can try more elaborate changes and mechanics in the PTB and see if the community likes them or not. They move at a snail's pace due to their priority list being what I would call, questionable.
Anytime we get a license like Alien or Chucky though, I'm always grateful that they did what they needed to do to bring us those licenses. I'm sure it's not as easy as we may think it is.
5 -
I appreciate the transparency but I also worry about what the forums will be like for the next 6 months with all the endless speculation this will cause.
3 -
Spirit add-ons are not useless. They are giving her good values.
Hill-Billy deserves all love, he is at weakside. His power should be good or his add-ons.
Nurse deserves all garbage add-ons when she has strongest power in game. It's really shocking they did not rework her power.
And Blight's base-kit maybe not problematic like Nurse's but he is definetly S-tier killer even without add-ons. So his add-ons should be max B-tier. Strong power should never be feeded with strong add-ons.
Nemmy and Pyramid Head deserves add-on pass. Both killers have insanely bad add-ons.
We don't know what they are planning with Sadako but her chase is still so bad.
DS is gutted in 6.1.0 and it's garbage perk atm. This perk 100% deserves good buff to reduce tunnelling. It should be stay disabled at end game tho.
2 -
I'm afraid I do not have any additional information. We will share as soon as we have more details! <3
1 -
Although I do not have any specific details, our Lead Designer Mike did mention the complexity of the update has been one of the factors in the delay.
1 -
guys, does a perk like ds which can simply be made better if a number changes from 3-5 need that much time?
pls try to make this perk viable earlier.
5 -
We are having these discussion in the "Decisive Buff" Thread. I'm really tired of anti-tunnel perks being weaponized to other things than anti-tunnel. I hope they adress this issue if they buff the perk.
For the other stuff, i am really concerned for Sloppy and Save The Best for Last. They are perks for M1 killers and will be very underwhelming in case they get nerfed in any way. The anti-camping already gives enough distance from the hook for survivors to rescue (even if it results in a trade); i don't think this is a issue anymore.
My bet is that they are going to make STBFL not get any stack after the exit gates are powered. If they do so, i hope they at least give some kind of buff to this perk in the middle of the match, like hitting the obsession before all gens are powered reduce stacks by 1 and hitting the obsession after exit gates are powered reduce stacks by 3.
Quick Gambit... its a very bad perk, but i'm afraid how they could buff it. If the radious of the perk gets too big, commiting to a chase might be too punishing, which will incentivise the hit and run playstile (that most of survivors hate).
1 -
Im looking forward to it.

When are toolboxes going to have a major update, like what happened with medkits?
1 -
chucky voice- good times are coming

I really appreciate the information you share with your players. This a very welcome direction of your communication with the playerbase. Keep in going!
1 -
Ahh perfect thank you very much.

*3-gen: Totally survivors fault. Why you punish the killers? Already nerfed SM
*Onryo: Easy to counter. Take the tape and put a tv. Thats it. Hope don't nerf her
*Billy: Totally sucks. Hard to control and overheat is a big problem. Need buff
*Blight add-ons: Maybe Ring and C33 needs some nerf. Iri tag is fine cause hard to use. AVial is fine cause decrease turn rate. Summoning stone is fine cause effect radius 16m and just for 15 sec
*STBFL: Please don't nerf it. When you nerf it, M1 killers can't do something about bodyblocks and sabotagers. Only works basic attacks
*Sloppy: Same like STBFL. Only works basic attacks. Don't nerf it
*UW: A good perk for Huntress and Trickster (even new Trickster nerfed). Also usable every 1 min (active for 30 sec and 30 sec cd)
*DS: Need some buff for soloq. But it should be still disable after 5 gens
*Twins: Not bad at all. Its fine. Atleast easy to counter with Unbre, No mither, Soul guard, Buckle up and MFT
Nerfed Trickster already as ''update''
I've been playing DBD for 4 years. After each patch it become even more difficult to play killer. You nerfed a lot of perks with patch 6.1.0
On survivor side: DH, DS, IW, COH, PT and MFT. But on killer side: Corrupt, Ruin, POP, Tinkerer, Stridor (was best perk for Spirit),
DMS, COB, Pain res, Overcharge, Eruption, Thanat, Noed and Batteries Included. Please don't nerf killer perks anymore PLEASE
10 -
So far in the past whenever I've liked a killer, enjoyed its gameplay, Behaviour has completely destroyed any fun in it with changes. So far this has happened with the nurse and spirit. I fear the same is in store for Sadako, my current favorite killer. U_U
Behaviour is just absolutely terrible in making their game fun to play. I feel they only succeed by accident, or when the problems are rubbed in their faces.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/201610865?t=1h36m17s
I agree with others that its stupid to nerf a killer just because survivors don't care/learn/understand the ingame counterplay to it. Or killers OWN MECHANICS. I would personally punish the survivors even harder if they don't want to learn the gameplay. Make them. Pandering idiots is a surefire way to create an unbalanced game.
9 -
Yeah let's ignore killers that really needs tweks and tweak killers that don't really need it? Why would Pig, Demo and Doctor need changes more than Knight, Pyramid head and Myers? We have been waiting for years for you guys to fix PHs addons and also Knight needing a brown addon to be playable..yes let's wait years to make that basekit 😐️
4 -
To be fair, what Myers and Pyramid Head need are kinda separate to what these killers are getting, right?
They're not doing addon overhauls, which is what Pyramid Head needs, and there's only so much space for full overhauls like Myers needs considering there's only, what, three of those on this list? And that's assuming that Hillbilly and Onryo all get the same complexity of changes that Twins are stated to be getting.
I get wanting those killers changed and I agree, but changes like these aren't all interchangeable. They can't take, say, Huntress off the list and replace her with Myers if what Huntress is getting is much much less than what Myers needs.
1 -
Genuine question: How is anyone who enjoys killer supposed to look at this and be excited for DBD’s future? I’m not even accusing the devs of being biased; this map 100% prioritizes the survivor experience, especially since we don’t know if those reworks are going to make the killer better or worse.
7 -
What are you basing that on, may I ask? I see a lot of killer-focused things on this list.
8 -
For starters, the perk updates are almost guaranteed to be nerfs. Like there’s no way STBFL is going to be buffed. The FOV is a positive change, but literally everything else is going to hurt killer in some capacity. Based on their history, killer reworks usually result in that killer being weaker, which again reflects the devs listening to survivor feedback and not the killer experience.
6 -
While I agree that some of the perks listed are inevitably going to be nerfs, that's very much not true of all of them. There's no way on this green earth they'd possibly nerf Grim Embrace, for example, and Shadowborn + Monitor are getting new effects entirely (apparently, I'd have assumed Monitor would be fine without a new effect but that is what they said).
Also, based on their history, killer tweaks typically range from neutral to good, so that's kinda nothing. It's only based on their history if you look at like... Trickster and Deathslinger, right? But if you look at Ghostface, Legion, Trapper, Onryo, and Plague, it starts to look a whole lot better. Add in the killers that got smaller tweaks like Huntress and Deathslinger (more recently), which is probably what we're looking at for most on this list, and it starts to look a whole lot less like the killers in question are going to become weaker.
This is pretty biased. It's assuming that every change listed is going to be negative, and judging based on that.
7 -
I mean they did adjust the killers you listed, but I think most/if not all of them are still weak. Trapper is still a joke against good survivors, even with those improvements. DS changes were laughable and don’t matter, especially compared to how harshly he was nerfed. They are super cautious with killer improvements, yet have no problem giving survivors things like extra health states and chances for endurance. I don’t think it’s even arguable that most killers stand no chance against an efficient group.
5 -
It's super arguable, but that's not really my point so I won't get into that.
We've shifted the bounds of the argument immensely here. We've gone from "this list favours the survivor experience", to "these changes will harm the killers listed", to "these changes won't meaningfully help the killers listed". I can't really tell which of those you're most invested in, since they're pretty different, so I'm not even entirely sure what your position is here.
My position, though, is that the changes are probably going to be neutral at worst and that the list is pretty balanced in terms of which 'side' it 'favours'.
5 -
Do you guys ever watch tournaments? https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1979270748
They use an A tier killer but can't even take 3k. This game is definitely swf sided. They don't nothing about swf. They can use same characters, same perks, same stuffs, same offerings and make fun of the killers. Don't fool yourself, they don't care about the killers and soloq.
2 -
What would tournaments prove about anything...?
Those aren't the overall state of the game. They're a hyper specific subset of players in an artificially controlled environment, it's not at all reflective of the actual game. This is true of all tournaments, to be clear, not just DBD.
10 -
The perk nerfs and the “3 gen solution “ will almost certainly be detrimental to the killer, while the “improvements” are unlikely to matter.
4 -
Gotcha. You can forgive my confusion considering that's a very different statement to the one I initially responded to.
Regardless, I disagree. Recent precedent indicates that at least some of the killer updates are going to be quite nice, and some killer improvements (like the FOV slider) are very likely to be just straight up good.
2 -
What precedent? Which killer has been reworked enough to become strong? The last I can think of is Freddy, and he was then nerfed to the ground. By the ratio of changes alone, there are objectively more things that help survivors.
0 -
Well, you're adding an extra requirement onto the sentence there. I said they'd help and they'd be good changes, I didn't say the killers in question would "become strong". I think the killers in question for prior examples - minus Deathslinger and Trickster - did get stronger, but I don't know what your bar for "becoming strong" would be so I can't really answer that.
You're also saying there are "objectively" more things that help survivors, but again, that's based on your assumption that the changes - which we haven't seen - will be outright bad. That's not objective, that's a speculative opinion.
3 -
They are professional players, you know that? Almost all of them are at the same level. Does that mean anything to you? If you don't want to understand, let me clarify: Even if you are at the same level as swf players, you can't get 3k. Capiche?
1 -
The difference between the Killer Tweaks and Killer Updates, the update is invariably bigger with more changes made - killer tweaks tend to be more numbers balancing than anything else.
3 -
i know i know but some rules cant be disobeyed even i cant not follow the rule
