Machine Learning erroneously activating when exit gates are powered

When there is only 1 generator left for survivors to complete, if you have any of the 3 final generators affected by Machine Learning, the perk will activate regardless of which of the 3 generators are completed (even if it is not the compromised generator).
Steps to reproduce:
- Have survivors complete 4 generators
- Compromise one of the last 3 generators remaining on the map
- Have survivors complete 1 of the other 2 generators (that are not compromised)
- Machine Learning activates

When the 5th gen is completed, the other 2 gens do become completed as well.

That is true and it may be intentional.
Would like clarification either way.
