Give Pop Goes the Weasel the Autodidact treatment
Have the perk start weak and get stronger over time.
- Gain 1 Token when a generator is completed, up to a maximum of 4
- Each Token grants a stack-able regression bonus for perfoming the damage generator action
0 Tokens: -2.5% regression (Nullifies the base gen kick damage. No damage; just applies regression state)
1 Token: 0% of total progression is removed (Just the 2.5% base gen kick damage)
2 Tokens: 10% of total progression is removed
3 Tokens: 20% of total progression
4 Tokens: 30%
----
In most normal matches, 3 gens pop early on, so PGTW will already be at 20% of TOTAL progress.
In matches where the killer's stomping at 5 gens, they get no benefit from PGTW. They don't need it.

Backstory for this suggestion: We're getting tunneled and slugged at 5 gens. Killer's snowballing. We almost got a gen done several times, but PGTW kept taking chunks off of it.
Why..?? Being kicked while you're down? The survivors should just give up and go AFK...

I'd rather leave Pop alone.
Pain Res does everything Pop does but just better and less situational, which I do believe it needs to be toned down instead of Pop.
1 -
You are really asking for 3-gen, don't you?
7 -
Pain Res was reworked so killer actually has a reason to chase different survivors. Why would you nerf that?
4 -
I can understand your reasons but with other regression perks its way too powerful in my opinion.

i guess, since there is "anti 3-gen" coming soon

The limited effect is reflective of the power. Recall that it used to be 9/12/15% up to a max of 12 pain res uses. Now its four uses for 25% and then perk deactivates. It is also a scourge hook perk and scourge hook spawn logic is really scuffed. We could tone it down to like 10% but it would have to go back to multiple uses and maybe no longer be limited to scourge hooks.

So a perk that nobody would use? Lol
2 -
If pop was nerfed, it probably wouldn't have changed that match. We shouldn't just nerf perks, because the killer used it against you one game and won.
6 -
You're right. It likely wouldn't have changed the outcome. But it would have stopped the perk from sucking what little hope we had left. I stopped playing for the rest of the day after that match. Probably would have continued otherwise.
It's not a nerf in most normal cases anyway, as I stated in the suggestion. By defending Pop Goes the Weasel, your comment sounds like "if I can't utterly destroy gen progress at 5 gens with Pop, then it means the perk is being nerfed." 😔

I don't see it as an issue atm. Perks have to remain somewhat strong to be desirable by killers. This one is in a good spot.

I'd rather see the opposite,as usually killers need slowdown early on,but not late game
