Flashlights have never been disabled because of "toxicity" before, why would they suddenly do that now?
Killswitches are used for gamebreaking bugs/glitches, or at least that is the intention of the Killswitch.

I have had people use it against me after the killswitch, and brag bhvr will do nothing about it. Feels bad since theyre probably right.

Bhvr has already killswitch beamers, what they do is not close the game so the killswitch doesnt activate for them.

You can still find flashlights in chests, because the killswitch does not affect the random rate from chests.

I think it's more because the fact that getting an item from it is random so they would have to temporarily update the perk to remove the chance of getting flashlights. Until the next update so it's basically update the game and change very little to maybe one perk and few quick minor things or disable it while working on the more major bugs aka the flashlight bug.

This game really does need ( I know it would be a huge job ) a complete remake on unreal engine 5 for ps5 / X / PC only.
Things get fixed, and a rebroken in later patches. Theyll change things, and completely unrelated things break. It feels like the code is a house of cards balancing act.

I do not believe it has anything to do with UE. Things could still get "broken" in the 5th iteration.
I'd rather see a DbD 2 in UE 5. Remasters are for single player games not for multiplayer ones.

I understand the why, I'm just saying the opportunity cost of the dumb-fun value of Dramaturgy compared to passing up a 'real' exhaustion perk, as well as Flashlights are still lootable in chests. Dramaturgy only has a 1/20 chance to get a clicky (1/4 for the item roll, and medkit/toolbox/map/key all competing for 1/5 odds of clicky, so 1/20). The odds I feel are low enough combined with not disabling chests all together, so it just seems silly.
Now that I look at it, Appraisal is an even more odd choice, as that gives a bonus search, but not a guaranteed anything. By that logic Coin Offerings should be killswitched as well.

I never said UE is the problem.
The problem is this game was made with 4 characters on each side in mind and has turn into what, 32 on each side? And in that time it has slowly been bandaided over and over, the size and scope of the game wasnt considered ( which I dont even blame them for )
The reason DBD 2 would be stupid, is all the licences would need to be renegotiated, and I bet we would lose a few.

Flashbangs are next to pointless imo. I spent days trying to do the 'blind the killer' challenge and managed to get at least two FBs per match, sometimes three, and I got a successful blind using them twice. I've even blinded other survivors body blocking the killer to a hook (only once - I try not to do that and no light borne). Imo theyre too unpredictable.

I saw someone carrying a flashlight, and I immediately hard-tunneled them out of the match in hopes that they'll run out of flashlights, lol.

If what you say is true, you need to make a thread to let the devs know that players can circumvent killswitches by just not closing their game.
I can't believe that the server just crosses its fingers and assumes its clients are obeying an honor code.

They already know this. I specifically asked Mandy last time if the killswitch prevents flashlights from being found in chests and they said they do not.

I played Bubba yesterday and was about to take a survivor to basement when another came to the rescue with a flashbang.
Funny thing is I immediately turned away and that is why I got blinded as he was aiming in a very bad way.
In the endgame chat I got the usual "ez" , "babby bubba" etc. which is funny considering it was my mistake.
