Freddy Krueger desperately need some love, BHVR
He should have voice lines, cosmetics, new powers, he should be entirely new. He need some desperate love from Behaviour.

Yes! We need more Freddy posts. It worked for DH, so it might work for Freddy too.

I'm genuinely baffled by their treatment of Freddy. I know his license is weird, or at least it was the last time I remember hearing about it, but Freddy Kreuger is one of the top 3 iconic slasher villains.
Maybe one day we'll get that Robert Englund voice and look, but I doubt it.

BHVR is afraid of him. So they use the only strategy they can to keep him away ... BY FORGETTING HIM..

And Freddy has a sad tale. They got him right on the very first try, but them they nerfed him for absolutely no reason, then completely reworked him (which is the one thing in DBD that I hate most), and nerfed him again.
Freddy really needs help. And I hope you don't mind, but I'll use this comment to share my idea for a Freddy change that, hopefully, everybody can enjoy. I just want to maximize the chance of BHVR seeing it and thinking: "...maybe".
It is naive, but it doesn't hurt to try. Here is what I would like to see for the Nightmare:
Power: Dream Demon
Pull survivors into the Dream World
-Survivors who are awake do not see The Nightmare.
-Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.
-During the Dream Transition Survivors can see The Nightmare intermittently and they suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.
-When the Dream Transition Lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.
Once in the Dream World:
-Survivor’s auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.
-Survivors suffer an action speed penalty of 50%.
-To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action.
-Failed Skill Checks can also wake up.
-Hooked Survivors wake up.
Special Ability: Dream Projection
-Teleport to a Generator in view. Releasing the button early will cancel the action.
-Survivors cannot interact with the targeted Generator.

They're not going too! Frederick was reworked and with time (as usual) he got nerfed so many times that they preactically gutted him and called it a day.
This is why I never look forward to or care about licensed chapters because..,
- The killer comes to live servers with tweaks that will eventually lead to them getting gutted (Frederick is prime example)
- The Killer stays strong enough to eventally become irrelevant and weak with time(Myers, Pig)

For years this has been said on all forums, but no proof was ever given. Maybe it's just BHVR not wanting to allocate dev time to existing killer ?

Because when it comes to things like cosmetics, custom music or voicelines, Warner Bros has the final say and bhvr has already told us that they cannot bring any of this because they're not allowed to by the license holder.
Things like visual or text updating also requires approval from license holder, but that's something they seem fine with.
Powerwise, bhvr has full control to change it, but they have said they inform the license holders on what they're doing.

Some QoL till then would be nice. Pallet Freddy is the most useless thing since they started doing map reworks due to how many little tiles have possible pallet spawns now. Even throwing a pallet in weird spawn locations would help with arguably the only fun mechanic on Freddy.

The nightmare chapter needs a complete overhaul. Quentin sucks, Freddy sucks. not to mention freddy looks laughably bad. he looks like something straight out of a playstation 2 game. like the guy is literally so silly looking and not intimidating even in the slightest. aren’t we supposed to be scared of the killers? the “wake up” mechanic makes sense and is valid, but his entire kit otherwise is nonsense.
the devs need to revisit the films and do a complete overhaul on that entire chapter. it’s a stain on the licensed chapters. if they brainstormed i’m sure they could come up with something brutal for him, but tbh at this point it feels like he’s bhvr’s forgotten child. if they just completely reworked the nightmare chapter, i’d be cool with them rereleasing that instead of a new chapter.

Yeah there is almost no where to place Dream Pallets at the start of the game anymore. Most loops now only have one designated pallet spawn so there’s nothing to place until you start breaking them :(

i hope freddy never returns. we asked to make drastic changes to freddy because he was insufferable to face especially when he had insane gen regressing addons and perks.

You don't know how happy I am to read this. When I came up with this concept I wanted to fix every problem Old Freddy mains, like myself, had with him.
And I am happy to see that I succeeded.

The big difference is the Incapacitated-Effect, so no survivors who finish a gen in your face.
In Dream Transition, together with the old Pill Bottle, you could toy around with survivors.
Dream Projection stays. This version would be perfect!
@BHVR give us a chance. Give us the Freddy we want :-)

And BHVR said Stranger Things is not coming back because Netflix was refusing them. Even Cote himself said ST is not coming back, just a month ago before we got ST again.
So i would not trust to devs that much, things can change outside of our knowledge.

The difference is that Netflix is active with Stranger Things, whereas New Line (which pretty much is Warner Bros solely at this point since New Line doesn't really exist anymore outside of name) has pretty much given up on ANOES.
It's been 6 years since Freddy was added to the game and nothing since then nothing has happened, sorry but at this point, i have no hope for any new ANOES content or any custom music being, not even an ugly sweater for Quentin.
Only hope we have is if Warner Bros sells off the IP, since they're doing pretty poorly financially in recent time, they've been selling off some of their IPs, at least from what i've been told.

Nope. But it's good to see that we now officially have at least 2 Freddy mains on the forums. Might be time for me to put the glove back on too.
Regardless, it seems Freddy has a lot of support by now. Which can only be a good thing. After all, this community has managed to overthrow DH after 6 years of its reign of terror.

Hard to believe there is hope once more.
I am still not sure if I'll ever see my favorite killer again. But it doesn't hurt to try.

This isn't the original Freddy but the remake Freddy hence why Quinten is the surivor. I don't think they can do anything because of that reason. Also the remake was not received well so I doubt they would do anything like voice lines for him.
