Any confirmation on when this will come out? Asking the Devs here.

Most likely next mid-chapter, so i'd expect to see it in next PTB.

I think PTB in Jan 2024. Which the next chapter will be Live?
I dont understand, higher FoV would be better benefit. Why dont they just increase FoV to the maximum setting of the slider? I dont think the slider option is needed.

Beta features are tested in live, so it might come out earlier... I hope.

I hope they add the feature before the holidays so we can test it through the PTB and till the Midchapter.
I'm sick of using Shadowborn.

It's still dated for January 2024, so i still believe it will be closer to mid-chapter.

You mean the Beta Feature? Where does it say that?

On road map, it's dated for January - March. So i believe they will add this feature to PTB first and to live with mid-chapter. It will stay in test until March and then they will add it to game i think.
I can be wrong tho, i am just assuming.

Some people get motion sick from an FoV being too high, just like some do when it's too low. It depends a lot on their setup (distance, lighting, etc) and physiology.

I think they will actually release it in January, the Beta Tab is just a sort of testing without requiring a PTB so it might come out earlier.

Yeah them saying beta tab means we could get it in a earlier hotfix as a test. Not to sure though.

The base FOV right now is too low, Shadowborn is almost enough to help with motion sickness. However In games where you can select a fov or change it, I'm never close to the max. For example I usually change my fov to 90. You can go a lot higher than that but it does the same thing to me that having the fov lower does. it makes me get the spins.
DBD's fov would be around 70 with shadowborn that brings it to 85. roughly 5 degrees off where I need to be. The problem is no one should need to use a perk to play the game without feeling sick.

Dbd's base fov is 87 ° and Shadowborn ups it to 102 °

there is no way that is true.

Pretty sure it is, those are the 2 numbers I hear everywhere and also heard often in the past. I don't have a confirmation source but I'm certain that those are the numbers.

Trivia
- An increased Field of View affects the angle from which Survivors can attempt to blind the Killer.
- The default Killer FOV is set at 87 °.

Interesting that someone found out about this. Always wondered why 87 ° felt so weird... because it wasn't 87 ° to begin with. If I put 87 ° on Minecraft for example I feel way more comfortable.

I didnt even need to know that I was just guessing based on other games with fov sliders and I was pretty close.
