Sacrificial ward broken

I went to ormond today. Brought a sacrificial ward and the survivors brought a Ormond offering. Still went there. What is the point of a sacrificial ward if I go to the bad map anyway? 3 times this has happened to me. I was going on a 2 month streak of no DCs as killer before this. Please can sacrificial wards be fixed? I'm tired of going to badham and garden of joy even after I took the time for a sacrificial ward. If I'm stressed enough to bring a ward already and then my ward doesn't work it is really depressing. Please BHVR you have fixed a lot of stuff the last few years let this be the next problem you fix 🙏

    It works, it just cancels out the boost the offering gives to the map. RNG can still take you there.

    Yeah, not broken.

    You nullified the 100% chance to be taken to Ormond, giving Ormond it's normal chance, you didn't exclude Ormond from the running. Then you got unlucky.

    Happened to me many times, on both sides.

    This just exemplifies why map offerings in general are an overblown issue. You can end up on any map anyway, including the ones you don't want the other side to play offerings for.

    This isn't just RNG. It used to be a very unlucky rare thing. I have around 70 sacrificial wards on my Oni and I decided that for one day I wasn't going to deal with any map offerings and ran sacrificial wards all day. 3 times I got a map offering. 3 times I went to the map on the offering. Out of the 39 maps I went to the one on the offering everytime. I'm not complaining about sacrificial ward leaving a small chance of going to the map....I'm complaining about it being glitched and not doing anything. A 1/39 chance once is bad luck. Twice in a row is astronomically bad luck. 3 times is the ward not working.

    I have a bunch of sacrificial wards on my Oni and was running them every game for a day because I was annoyed with map offerings. I went to Ormond when they brought ormond. I went to garden of joy when they brought garden of joy. And I went to the game when they brought the game. 3 map offerings in the coarse of a afternoon....each time with a sacrificial ward. That isn't a random slight chance...that is sacrificial ward not working.

    I've noticed this happening lately a lot more as well, and on top of that, it seems as though map-repeat prevention isn't working anymore either.

    It works as intended, but its effect is pointless. With all the map Offerings around, Sacrificial Ward ought to have its power change to remove any maps associated with any map Offering presented from the pool for that Trial.

    Sacrificial ward is actually broken. Last night I had two instances within the same hour where I brought a sacrificial ward, and we still went to the map offering. In one case it was RPD, and in the second it was MacMillan. If it were RNG the odds are astronomically low that within the same hour you'd randomly go to the map that was offered with two different map offerings.

    I highly encourage everyone who commented here to try it in their own games. I'm a killer main, so to reproduce, pick any killer and go into matches with a sacrificial ward. Whenever one survivor offers a map offering, see how often you go to the offered map despite the ward. I'd be curious to see more data points. It may not be fully broken, but its probability weighting could be the piece that is broken. Dionysusdog's post on this seems to further confirm this suspicion.

    Thank you 🙏 I was pretty sure it wasn't just me. It used to work fine but I think it got bugged during a update and since there is still a chance to go to any map nobody realized it was bugged and they just thought it was a case of being really unlucky.

    Have you reported this in the bug section yet? If it's a legitimate bug, reporting it there could prompt the devs to take a look at it.
