New survivor offering-- hide items

There should be an offering for survivors that hides the item they are carrying. Or even specific offerings that make it look like your holding something else. These would show up as secret in the loading screens like the killer mori offerings.

Also they would be locked in after the countdown reached 20 or 30 seconds otherwise you could just last minute swap them and the killer might not notice

I think I did not understand the reason for this.

So if I get this right the killer still does see the item in the lobby but in the game anymore?

    What's the benefit of that?

How would this be actually accomplished? My understanding is the offerings are applied while loading up the trial, not within the lobby.

Would your proposed change only affect that particular surv, or all of them? If all, then what happens when there's a dodge?

I can think of a couple reasons:

-Bringing Residual Manifest or Flashbang into the trial. The killer feels confident picking in the open because they "see" a survivor does not have any way of blinding them, thus allowing a blind rescue.

-Using a Syringe. The offering causes the killer to think you still have the medkit, and thus might commit to continuing a chase, not realizing you're about to gain an extra health state.

Honestly, not a big fan of the idea personally, it seems too niche to use regularly and too complicated to code - also, not sure why it should be an offering instead of a perk even if they did decide to add something with that effect.
