Buff Deathslinger
Deathslinger is weak. His gun is easy to react to, can be bodyblocked, cannot down survivors behind pallets, stuns him for ages when the chain breaks, and the reload speed is still painful. The worst part, however, is the fact that this character has the worst map pressure in the entire game. He is slow, has no special traversal abilities, and no slowdown. Even Trapper has more map pressure than this guy. I like looping with him. His gun is cool and it is satisfying to use when it works, but the gens just go so fast when you're playing him. Every time I play against him I find him the easiest to just genrush and leave out of the entire roster. Not even mentioning the fact that survivors will just hold forward if they see you're somewhat competent. They need to buff this killer. Maybe make him 115. I heard someone on Reddit talk about how they could implement slowdown, something like a bounty system, which I thought was a cool idea. Let me know if you agree or disagree, maybe this is just a case of skill issue. If it is I apologize.

For real, while doing his challenges in the new tome I got bodyblocked twice by the unhooked survivor keeping the chain on their unhooker in place. There was nothing I could do and that felt so aweful. At least I held true to my own rulebook and saw this as an open invitation to tunnel them, because it was quite apparent that they valued sick plays over their own savety and resetting.
I didn't knew that you could bodyblock to this extend, luckily I got all his challenges done, but I wouldn't want to main him at this point.

Sometimes it feels like the hitbox of his spear is the size of a needle. Meanwhile Huntress's hatchets hit like they're trucks.

He could use some buffs, especially since Huntress is receiving some changes soon. He's already weaker than her and depending on how they changes Huntress there might be no reason to even bother playing him over her soon. He is punished way too much for missing, especially when landing the shot isn't even a guaranteed hit either.
Increasing his reload speed again and reworking all of his add ons would be a good start (and maybe all he would need)
That can be a good thing sometimes. You can get some shots through little gaps you couldn't reach with Huntress. Only thing Slinger really has over her.

The needle spear DOES come with upsides. The amount of holes that you wouldn't think were programmed to be holes hitbox wise is nuts.

Ran across this earlier showcasing how crazy he can thread the needle. Shooting through the fencing is nuts.
As far as Huntress vs Deathslinger comparisons... Deathslinger DOES have advantages when it comes with perks. Perks that proc from M1s are typically met for Huntress, but not so for Deathslinger. This let's him benefit from perks like sloppy butcher and surge, as well as exposed perks like starstruck.

He should absolutely never ever ever be 115%. Maybe im just low mmr but i won my last 28 out 30 games with slinger. He incredibly strong in chase in my opinion with the only weakness being bad map pressure. I'm find his time to down more so make up for it. i love Pyramid Head for the same reasons. How often are you hitting your shots with him? and how long u been playing him?

He doesn't need a chase buff. Watch some top performing deathslingers, especially in comp games. They're able to track and land spears pretty often, it's really not a hit or miss ability.

True, the small hurtbox does let Slinger get those threading-the-needle shots. But I play on console so I'll never make those shots in the first place, so that does nothing to help me at all. Meanwhile I'm seeing the spear fly through survivors without a hit, and it's miserable.

Those shots are more about knowing what you can get away with rather than flicking accuracy though. You'll notice when Slingers go for those hole in the wall shots, they often will pause and wait for the survivor to move into it, or just hit a survivor camping a pallet that expect you to have to do normal pathing before you shoot.

Okay, well I'm not talking about other killers right now. I'm talking about Deathslinger.

I completely forgot about M1 perk synergy. You are right, that is a good advantage he has over Huntress. Especially Starstruck which is pretty great on him and can help make up for his lack of pressure.
Although after the Huntress mega buffs I don't think that is even enough to justify playing him over her now.

Slinger doesn't need to be Buff'd, he is close to being in a perfect spot, just need's a QoL tweak, possibly returning his terror radius back to 24 or even 28m, you will notice the difference if you run M&A on him, or what people have suggested making him 115% with a 32m terror radius.
HE really does need a Add-On pass though, to many duplicates, has similar add-on's to other killer's (that require both duplicates ran at once to match the effect) and some add-ons having very little to no effect when used.
I would love to see a Add-on pass first before asking for him to be buffed basekit.
