As a Billy Main, I'm asking BHVR if you guys can let Billys turn off overdrive?

Just the title, there are certain curves you can only do if you are not on overdrive.

For Context, I use my Q & E keys for curving.

You will never get tight curves on overdrive are you are simply too fast to tightly curve.

An example of this is the Right window on Tracktor on Farm Maps, You can curve that without overdrive but will miss it if you are on overdrive.

Can we have an option like hitting CTRL turns off overdrive?

Doing that would force them to admit that fundamentally changing Billy's basekit was a bad idea. While I would rather disable Overdrive completely, I doubt it'll ever happen. You could think of the mechanic as increasing his skill ceiling. I'm just happy Overheat is dead.

I would rather have a longer build up to overdrive and have it similar to Main Event. So a limited time to activate it. If you don't activate it you go back down to 33%.

Hillbilly should have an add-on that disables Overdrive, at least. Then combine it with Cracked Primer Bulb for the ultimate Billy meme build.

This 100% would be awesome. (I vote for Speed Limiter as the add-on).

It would be a really nice touch, because their rework makes Hillbilly stronger, more viable, etc, but this add-on would effectively allow people to play "classic" Billy.

Considering at his release he was the most loved killer in the game, that would be a great nod/homage to OG Billy, rather that it just be buried in patch versions and the annuls of history. The fact a number of his add-ons have also been made basekit, means you can effectively play original Hillbilly and celebrate DBDs history without it even really being a meme.

I also think it'd be great for learning Billy, as you could play this add-on to get a feel and work on your precision for Billy at base, then upgrade to Overdrive Billy once you've learned the fundamentals.

    Please do this BHVR.

It is part of how he works. I don't think billy deserves to be buffed even more and be even easier to play as. He already feels pretty overbuffed to me. What you suggest comes equal to the nurse being able to cancel blinks.

How about reduce overdrive time and when it is over you enter overheat.

Give him an addon that disables Overdrive completely and it should be fine. I would probably use it from time to time.

How about "no"? Seriously, overheat was the worst thing they ever added to a killer. It made him significantly less fun to play because you didn't have the freedom to use your power at will and it was an unnecessary nerf to him. Your suggestion would make this even worse because then you couldn't even avoid overheat.

That's basically telling the player: "Well now, you used your power (the only strength you have) too much. Now you have 2 options: 1) Get a very short time with increased speed but become unable to use your power for X seconds afterwards or 2) You are not allowed to use your chainsaw for 15 seconds + X seconds (time it takes to reduce heat)." So they'd have to choose between a kick in the chin and a punch in the face. In both cases they're screwed.
