Are DC's really that common?
Hello there,
In the past weeks or even months, many here claimed, that DC's are out of hand right now, even talking it is worse then it was back at the old Legion time.
Usually, many complains on this forum may be at least (in my opinion ofc) in some way valid. We may or may not always agree, but often times, it is a feeling of individual persons. How every individual perceives the game is of course highly subjective - but thats the nature of so many things.
There is one exception tho, and this is when feelings meets facts. So i started to investigate the fact or not that DC's are a major problem right now.
So since Thursday, i played every single killer (even SM and Knight) at least one game. The games i did not 4K (Freddy, Trapper and Dredge) i replayed. I ran the best possible perks and one if not the best addons, and most games went really bad for survivors.
My conclusion from this:
Hook suicides: 0 (besides a handful of "try to find the hatch buddy" attempts")
DC: 0
I am aware that roughly 40 games is not a large number, but it matches exactly on how i feel about DC's. I play on EU server, MMR is probably all over the place since i dont play much Alien, Knight or SM so MMR is not that high, but i do have a few killers with longer winstreaks against good survivors.
What is your factcheck? Is it just me being lucky or is it really only a feeling and not a fact that DC's are not that commen as many here claim? Or is the actually the Killer who is giving up in your games so often?
Kind regards

It's a plague on NA servers. When I was back on EU servers I didn't know how lucky I had it.

I have more killers dc
believe it or not countering Noed with small game usually does them in

Strange and i wonder why this mentality is like that.
I would say, me two. But it is also not that frequent tbh. On average maybe every 20 games or so, at most.

Yesterday I had spirit DC at endgame when I found her noed. I broke her ankles at shack and shortly after I found her noed xD
I’m not sure why she would just DC. It was already endgame collapse, take your points and go. 🤣🤣

I see most killer DCs at endgame and most Survivor DCs on death hook...agree that it makes more sense to stay and get the points, at the very least.

We can only speak for ourselves but atleast for the past 3 weeks (we're guessing roughly 45ish games primarily survivor) 40ish percent has been a game where 1 will try to swing off hook and give up, but we've had 2 DC in that timeframe (of which one was us due to internet dying).
We're of the opinion that they're not as common as we keep hearing, but that's us.

about the same. maybe 30% still just a ridiculous amount

NA eastern coast

I've played like survivors want with a mid tier killer and they still DC if the outcome is in my favor.

Like I said in my post last week, 12/20 games had someone suicide(only one DC). Out of those 12 games only 2 we were losing in and in exactly 0 of those games were the 2 randoms being tunneled/camped or slugged ever. If any of those things did happen it was rare and happened to me or friend. 6 of those games we won and I have to reemphasize nothing even close to annoying happened to these players. We saved, did gens and healed.
I cannot handle playing if my own team is going to sabotage me every other game.
Edit: when I said we won I mean a two man escape at least between us two and the other random. I know that's not really a win but in this context I consider it to be.

Both NA?

I don't see DCs or letting go on hook much either. I'm in Australia, if that helps. It certainly could be a regional attitude thing.

I'm sure it varies by your role. I think if you're solo q survivor the DC/suicide on first hook problem is for sure common. As a killer you could be playing against a lot of SWFs and DCing/suicide on hook would be far less common.

It happens pretty frequently to me and I'm also in NA east.
From the thread so far seems like an NA thing.
