This video pretty much sums up most of the problems with playing pyramid head
aside from his camera bug
BHVR please revert him back to his 2020 release state
his basekit is clunky and sluggish
and please please rework his addons
there’s literally only 3 addons worth using and 1 of them is a sloppy butcher addon while 2 others do the same thing
please just rework his addons and make them feel useful to bring

I think he's pretty okay when used right, but I agree, his power is really only useful for tunneling, and his add-ons are really bad. Some nice ones would maybe be quicker charge/activation times but less range, maybe trails trails injuring if stepped on twice in the span of, say, maybe 4 or 5 seconds? Maybe less if that's too strong, some gameplay changes would be nice instead of basically them all being the same.

I mean yeah his basekit is mostly fine when you’re used to playing it but for a beginner player on the other hand it’s probably the most anti beginner friendly basekit
and I disagree about his power being useful only for tunneling cause he’s still easily the strongest antiloop killer
There’s been plenty of ideas of what his addons could be if he ever gets an addon pass

I mean his ranged attack is good, probably one of the best. But his cage isn't that useful unless it's a bully squad or you need to hook someone fast to apply pressure, but most of the time his cage doesn't outweigh the negatives of losing any hook perks you have. And yeah his kit is very anti-begineer. I don't know what you could do though to make it easier for new players.

They just need to revert his basekit to how it used to perform when pyramid head first came out
And regarding the cages
well they are often useful if you’re able to do a solid build around them but sadly the current killer meta doesn’t favor that with how all the anti gen rush perks require hooks

Triangle Dome is a conflicting killer for me. Addon pass aside, because it's just a granted that he needs one, I feel like his kit is kinda clunky. It's slow to use his power and, against most survivors, applying torment is incredibly difficult. I know they were testing out having his ranged attack apply torment, and I think something like that could be a good addon, or even basekit if done in a smart way.
He needs love, and I hope he gets it.

Feels like Torment should be easier to apply and his ranged attacks should be more rewarding. I’d like the Torment on ranged hits base kit and trails lasting longer. Addon pass of course as well.

Torment on punishment of the damned hit was seen as a bad idea back on the end transmission PTB as decently experienced PHs would easily tunnel survivors out let alone with how easy it is to memorize/predict the cage spawn rngs which also made it easy to tunnel out survivors without any form of downsides
its still debatable tho regarding whether or not he should apply torment on m2 hits but that still seems broken to me a Phead main but I’m open for discussion and seeing what you guys think on that concept to me it’s more than welcomed to be an Iri addon but it will still need some testing

M2s need to be more rewarding than they currently are. Maybe significantly reduced recovery time only on successful hits?

The way I'd do it is make it an Iri addon that removes the trail in exchange for torment on a ranged hit, or so that the punishment has a brief torment effect if you don't hit a survivor, so you could lead a shot and have them run over a (non-damaging) torment trail instead of dealing direct damage. Unfortunately the current trails just don't seem reliable enough to be the only source of the status effect, at least in my own experience.

I did that idea once for an addon pass concept I did for fun but I still feel like it’ll work in a strange way
altho your take on it is pretty neat
There’s literally many other ways to create addon concepts for him
torment on M2 has been said a lot of times and it was even tested on a PTB

While he does need an addon pass he needs improvements base kit as well. We already have too many addon reliant killers that I don’t want his buffs to be only in the form of addons.

The only 3 things I can think of for basekit buffs are
- Revert him back to his launch state cause his clunky basekit is just bad for those who aren’t used to it
- basekit one of his range addons (he has 3 range addons which are black strap, wax doll and burning man painting)
- maybe add pallet breaking to his m2 attacks
but I think his basekit is in a decent spot
its already a very very very strong basekit

im not referring to the time when the devs thought it was normal for him to see the auras of the cages what I’m referring to by reverting him to his launch state is to make his basekit feel smooth to play as

The clunkiness on his M2 is definitely the most troublesome part of his kit. I feel like it takes too long to reset after a punishment, made worse by the slowdown it causes on PH himself.
The amount of times I've lost, or nearly lost a chase because a missed attack gave so much time to the survivor is frustrating. That above all is what I want improved.
