Remove DC penalty
so I totally understand the reasoning behind it. It’s a 4v1 and someone DCing completely screws the game over.
the issue is…we have bots now and instead of dcing. People just kill themselves on the hook, leaving the team without a bot. Who, despite being dumb, at least does generators, totems, and healing.

Removing the DC penalty isn't going to stop these people from ruining your games. Bots are not a good replacement for an actual player. If anything, this just shows that hook suiciding needs to be dealt with rather than making the game largely unplayable by letting people rage quit whenever they feel like.

they’re not an adequate replacement, no. But a bot is better than a corpse. And I don’t think hook suicide should be addressed. A player shouldn’t be forced to play a game they aren’t enjoying. Like if hook suicide is removed, they’d probably Just go afk till they die.

Going afk is actually against the rules, and is reportable.

you can enjoy dbd as a whole but a single match. Are you telling me you NEVER had a match you didn’t enjoy?

So what about killers having to deal with a 4 man bully squad with broken builds who are forced to take it? At least you guys have the option to leave a match without a penalty. The only solution is to remove that mechanic.

That would be another benefit of removing the DC penalty, but we already know the devs aren't going to do that.

it would allow the killer to leave those games without a penalty. Survivors get a BP bonus when the killer quits anyway

I am on thr strong opinions that DC penalties are perfect fine due to the existing of bots. Just that Hook Suicide needs to be removed, unfortunately. As much as everyone likes the 4% kobe, I feel like the game is going to be imbalance as certain players are rage quiting all because they simple do not enjoy playing the game and wasting everyone time by refusing to play the game. If anything they need to be punished even more to simple unable to play the game, so they finally take a break from the game.
Bit blunt but they needs to understand that if they are not having fun, doesn't give them any right to ruin the fun over the other players, both killers and survivors alike that do. To me, People whom suicide on first hook and or first down; are simple being unsportsmanlike and it is punishable offense.
Look at me, I take breaks from DBD by playing fortnite, helldivers, overwatch, etc. As well as some Causal single player games. Coming back everytime there are new content in the game as well as completing rifts, for th3 enjoyment. Surely, the others players that are too heavily invested in this Game, just as much as me; feel bored and aggrieved to the point that you are sick of this stale game everytime. Just please stop this behavior and just be a good player and accept that rage quiting/hook suicide just makes those players toxic and makes the game more miserable then it already has been.

remove hook suicide and it’ll just lead to people going afk or chasing down the killer to die. Happens all the time when they try to suicide but get saved.
Make two games modes
Ranked: with dc penalty and whatever else. To satisfy the Uber competitive
Casual: for people that just want to play for giggles and don’t care about winning. No penalties here

That sounds like a fair compromise, as long as we can earn bp in the Casual mode. I can bet that if we can earn bp in Custom games, no one would play the public matches.
