Please add a feature to exclude anonymous players from your matchmaking
I will keep it really simple. Anon players play in certain ways that correlates to the reason they choose to play anon mode. These reasons make me not want to play with them or against them. Please add a feature similar to crossplay off, where I only get matchmade with players that choose to play not anonymously.

I use anonymous because I've noticed I get less end game rage than I do without.

They're not gonna do that.

I play anonymous because I don't know you and you don't need to know me - especially if you're a child
Don't make out it it's for some hidden agenda.

Just say you want anon mode gone.
If they made it its own player pool, matchmaking time is gonna double, if not triple for those players.

As long as people continue to post on my steam profile just for the audacity of winning I am going to keep playing on anonymous mode.
Seriously, I have been on steam for over a decade, and it is only DBD players that feel the need to comment rubbish on my profile.7 -
No…
After enabling anonymous mode i can play in peace, with out beeing stalked and getting hate messages on my profile after winning a game of dbd.
- And i dont have to hide my self from the world on a private profile.

Yeah, I've been on Steam for 20 years. But it wasn't until I started playing Dead by Daylight (I used to main as a killer when I started) that I began to experience harassment on my profile.

while implementing this, they should also implement the option to exclude matchmaking with people that have this feature to exclude anonymous mode players enabled please!
also let me exclude players that use inverted y-axis.1 -
Are you gonna really sit here and pretend like you're better than them because they hide a name? That literally means nothing, the person you're dodging could be 10 times better than you for all you know and here you are acting like it's an inconvenience.

Well, disabling crossplay only means that you can only be matched with people who have also disabled crossplay, that's why the queue times are 30min+. So there is no 200 IQ feature that checks which platform you have. The feature is actually pretty useless.
Yes, I would like an anon-off function. It just happens more often that such a player does more nonsense (dc, first hook suicide, etc.) This is similar to console players, who are generally more casual, which is also completely fine, but these are facts.

PS4 and PS5 use the ID as a name, so they use the anonymous feature for security reasons.
If there is a function to change the name in the game, you can remove the anonymity function, but if that is not possible, I cannot support it unless thorough measures are taken to prevent incitement and harassment.3 -
Terrible idea.
Anonymous mode has far more pros than cons and is one of the best things they've added to the game.

okay “Johdude” which I assume is your real actual name on your birth certificate. Wait, it’s not? Oh, so you’re anonymous too!
The idea that people only (or event MOSTLY) use anonymous mode for nefarious purposes is absurd and not remotely based in fact.

Players who deliberately play toxic in order to mine salt usually have public profile with open comments, so that they can collect them as some kind of "achievement". I don't believe that most of your toxic teammates/killers have hidden names, it's more likely you are trying to notice them more while ignoring all those times you were sandbagged or BMed by someone with an open profile, because it's more customary for DbD.

Those of us on Xbox cannot even use their Anonymous Mode, and likewise cannot change our names each trial. 😕

Yeah i get the pure intentions of BHVR adding anon mode but several people just hide behind it to be toxic or worse yet… cheaters.

but there is nothing to hide. what does it change if you know the user name of a toxic #########/cheater?
you can report them all the same. the only diffrence is that you cant pinpoint your anger at that one specific person but a namless faceless thing

It's because cheating has become so wide spread that because of a lot of them using anon mode you have to dodge nearly every anon mode you see whether they were a cheater or not.

Bro, just say you wanna be able to post trash and rage on people's steam profile instead of making up some BS. Would be cool if we could block ourselves from playing with ppl like YOU.

I like it because I do not get stream sniped anymore as a streamer. I am so glad I forever am a sony playstation player, poor xbox players lol. Does anyone know if switch also has annon mode?

but that still makes absolutly no diffrence. anon mode does not shield the cheaters from being reported and i dont believe there are more cheater with anon mode then there are without cause those dudes dont care they are currently on there 30. burner epic acc and if they get banned they switch to number 31. so i dont think they would even care to use anon mode.
but what is a crazy thing is that still today there are a bunch of people that believe anon mode makes reports impossible everytime the topic comes up
