Wesker changes my thoughts
Overall I think the wesker changes are fine this coming from someone who has put alot of time into him but I feel like gloves should be basekit and hindered should be 5 percent and then I think he's fine I always said wesker is perfect accept the tunneling aspect which needed to be changed

I think the hinder aspect was also a pretty bad mechanic. If we are going to say mft was too much speed for doing nothing then 4% for landing one of the easiest to hit abilities in the game is more than reasonable.

the hinder only happened if you didnt cleanse+wesker power isnt easy to land unless the survivors let it be

probably biggest nerf of the patch. wesker no longer going to be 3rd best killer due to tunneling nerfs. it is sad they did not bother to buff his bound a bit to compensate said changes…. like allowing him to vault pallet→use m2 would be nice change. oh well.

I'd say slap the removed hindered onto Iri Vial or something, but otherwise I'm fine with infection taking a hit for the sake of less tunneling.

What he was never the third strongest killer to begin with lmao like I said he's the best design killer in the game and the only complaint was the tunneling problem now it's addressed he's fine like I don't get you I see you on forums all the time with bad takes like honestly I think your just baiting at this point

It is not that hard to land hits with his Power. Which is a reason why he is so popular, if it would be hard less people would play him.
And well, you cannot really use a spray while you are in chase. And this is the bad design of his power, you WILL go down against a Wesker even if you are better than him, simply because once you get the hindered effect, you will lose the chase. Nobody can loop a Killer with 92% Movement Speed.
And while this takes Wesker a while to achieve, it results in free hits eventually. And this is the bad thing about him. Even worse when used for tunneling (which is the other change they did, you can still tunnel with Wesker, it will just be less efficient because it will take way longer to go to max infection)

I don’t really have a problem with this nerf. 8% hindered was pretty much a death sentence 95% of the time and you still have to spend time using a spray after unhook, you just won’t be fully infected nearly as fast if you do get tunneled. Ultimately neither of these changes impact his ability to still be a strong killer so it’s fine.

At low mmr matches his power may seem easy to land but once your facing really good survivors it's alot more difficult than you think you have to be precise and know when to use it and understand the distance etc it's alot more complex than you think

myers and ghostface literally have to look at you to use their power, plague can spray and pray if she really feels like it + infect chase-related objects, and I'd argue chuckys power is a wekser dash with way less counterplay.

They have to land a hit as an M1 Killer, generally considered their biggest weakness. Theres a reason m1 killers struggle in this game.

Yeah believe it or not no Killer abilities that injure in 1 hit go through walls. Pretty crazy stuff.

the hindered nerf might be a but much as it’s pretty easy to cleanse and avoid this but overall not unreasonable changes. The killer changes this patch seems pretty fair.

I never said it is easy, but I would not say it is hard either. Like every Killer power it needs some practice, but Wesker is not too hard to make people give up trying to learn him, which can be the case for other Killers.
E.g. a Killer like Singularity is also VERY strong, but way too difficult to learn. This does not apply to Wesker.

The slowdown part of Wesker's power (urgency to find spray and cure infection to avoid heavy penalty+insta-down) is basically gone the moment you start going against decent teams if all these changes go live as-is.
A recently unhooked infected Survivor wouldn't jump right back on a gen (at least not for long) due to being (likely) injured and 50% infected. With a full timer post-hook and a gutted hindered effect there's no reason to not go back to slamming gens immediately after healing (or forego healing entirely) until the infection reaches dangerous levels which takes ages.
The indirect slowdown that the infection gave was one of the things that made him able to not tunnel since Survivors would waste time curing infection.
By trying to remove tunnelling these changes will just make it more common for those that didn't tunnel before.
I'd honestly understand one of the two nerfs (preferably the hindered reduction) but both is a bit much. Good Survivors will just ignore the infection and with 8 uses of spray it'll be next to impossible to run out. It doesn't look like much but those two changes will merely make non-tunnellers have more issues (any Killer can tunnel and get results, some are just better at it) while being a mild inconvenience to tunnelers that didn't really rely on max infection (which still took a while even starting at 50%).
Good Wesker players will likely have to play more aggressively (between infection nerf and yet another slowdown nerf) since infection will be less of a factor.

Wesker main here too.
It's definitely NOT easy to land at high MMR.
It became a little easier now that the FoV can be 103º since survs can't hug you to "hide" from it, but still not easy.1
