Safe the mori offerings!
This is a collection thread for anyone that doesnt want the mori offerings to become BP offerings in the future.
According to the livestream, they plan to make the yellow mori basekit and it will be THE ONLY way for a killer to mori survivors, changing green and red moris into BP bonuses only.
Im fine with the basekit yellow mori but dont take away our mori offerings, it will feel super bad to be forced to 4k if you want to see a mori in the future, it adds problems where it should not. Its not neccessary to change the offerings. I have safed up on them, its nice to have the free choice to mori survivors after their second hook states, not only the last one, but the full trial with red mori (or the first one with green). I feel like we will be ripped off if we safed up on moris for this purpose, only for them to become BP gain offerings. There is alredy enough cakes and event offerings for BP
So please, BHVR, we alredy went over this. People DONT want the mori offerings changed, we want them to stay the same. Again, basekit system is fine, no issiue there. But leave green and red mori offerings be.

Did they also make it auto trigger with a cutscene again like last time? I strongly disliked that as it ruined all kinds of late game escape plays and also killers giving hatch.
The other mori offerings should also stay as they are. No reason to change them.

I think its just yellow mori basekit, so the last survivor alive is just mori'able as if you had the yellow in current live version. No cutscene no mechanic. At least thats an increase but i have no idea why they want to change the other offerings.

If so, that's good. But I still want the red and green offerings to stay. And I also hope they didn't touch Devour or Rancor like they tried last time.

litteraly noone since im playing this game has ever said anything bad about moris, not on here not in steam discussion boards. I know they have been kinda OP in the past, but that is a thing from 2016 or something. Its even more mind boggling for me why they change stuff that noone asked for.

I dont even want to, its so unbelievably unneccessary. I almost never see a killer with a mori and when they have one its just an alternate animation to getting sacrificed on the hook. These complaints have 0 basis. Its not even an advantage to have a mori. And again its totally rare

its a weird change + the moris r nice bc like. although u save a hook by killing a survivor u also have to sit thru that animation. i think it works out well n i say this as a survivor main
i dont like that theyre makin yellow mori basekit. killers should at least have an offering that lets them do the 2 hook one or something instead of doing away with that

I didn't watch the dev stream, is that really what they're doing? :( It wasn't mentioned in the patch notes.
Moris are not often used, and are pretty unique as offerings. In the current version they're mostly situationally useful, but I feel like they add a lot if flavor.
There are already a ton of different bloodpoint offerings that I honestly think should be cleaned up bit. We really don't need another one, especially in the place of mori offerings.

Moris offerings are flavour and aesthetic, to majority of people. I will even do a poll if i need to proove you wrong. Getting rid of them is unneccessary. Thats why im making a thread, i dont want them gone.

jupp, according to dev stream the offerings will feature BP "instead" of what they do right now. Saying "instead" doesnt have my hopes really high.

I think they mentioned you choose to mori, so it'll likely function like the mori that lets you do it to the last survivor.

This will encourage the Killer even more to slug for the 4k….yipee….
Downs and slugs one Survivor, goes after the other;
If the slug bleeds out before the other Survivor is found then it's a Hatch game and if they get downed there's no hope of wiggling out.
If the other Survivor is found and downed, the Killer simply stands over the Survivor with the most bleedout timer remaining and kills them the moment the other one bleeds out, invalidating Hatch entirely and dragging the game even longer.
At least it's an option I guess so friendly/playful/merciful Killers will still be able to give Hatch (the game really needs wholesome moments to make the rest of the game since 7.5.0 bearable) although I'm surprised that this suggestion (a very popular one that was brought forth mostly during the dreadful Finisher Mori/Basekit Ubreakable PTB) was actually thought about.
However Mori offerings (barring the yellow one of course) should stay and most importantly, perks that grant the ability to Mori shouldn't be touched. We already have so many bp offerings and there's no need to add more to the pile, let the other Mori offerings as they are and let the few perks granting Mori alone, we don't need to do things that will lower perk variety even more than it is (and 7.5.0 arguably started one of the most stale and predictable perk era in years with no sign of changing, in fact it's getting worse every update, the D&D perks will likely change it slightly for a few weeks until all the adepts are done and the hype is gone).

If I want a BP offering I would use one of the 3422 7th anniversary cake I have in my Wesker's inventory.
Will post the same solution I've posted in other threads here. It's basically Cypress Mori with a little tweak.IF two survs are already dead, the third is in the floor or hooked and you down the 4th THEN you get a prompt to use it on the last surv. You and he/she are teleported to an area with no visual blocking, mori happens and then both survs die and the match ends.

I'm not in favor of anything that makes slugging for the 4k even easier. Especially when it bypasses game elements forcing sacrifices of 2 survivors. At the very least the slugged survivor should have the chance to crawl out a gate/hatch or use one of multiple recover perks. Basekit current yellow mori would be fine, but no "fast forward" ends to the match.

The yellow mori can become basekit, as it has 0 impact on the gameplay.
But please, let us have the other 2.

No, if a survivor is about to be mori'd that means they have been hooked 2 times before. You are asking for a third extra hook required that way, if the survivor can "fight back"

also just as a side note, im not one to slugg for 4k outside of a tome challenge, which are rare.
But i will start doing this every time now because i still want to see moris.3 -
Yeah pretty bad change for me. I don't care about BP, but what I do care about is making a pile of dead survivors in the middle of the map.

in the original finisher mori PTB they changed devour and racour to be hook instakills instead of moris. Rancour made it so the survivor would die on hook regardless of stages instead of mori, devour the same way.

Ebony and Ivory Moris are iconic. Why would you ever remove them for yet another Bloodpoint-related offering? I hope the devs reconsider it and don't change them.
100% Agreed, I'm glad they want to try to reintroduce the finisher mori system, but BHVR doesn't need to touch the other 2 mori offerings at all.
I don't want to feel forced to sweat to watch the amazing moris the devs have created for this game!

They should just make it so if you bring a Mori offering, it disables your ability to use the basekit one.

i mean that doesnt matter, red mori is just for every survivor. I guess green mori would be diffrent then but i dont think its neccessary to change the mori offerings at all.

Hold on to your backsides, folks. I'm about to give a hot take for my first forum post:
Make the Ebony mori baseline for all killers, but with a change; every survivor that gets Moried reduces the killer's final BP and emblem progress for that match by 25%. So if you mori all 4, you get no BP and no emblem progress, but your MMR still goes up.
Make the Mori another tool in the killer's toolbox to utilize, but at a cost because of how strong it can be. It should be an option for dealing with problematic survivors and annoying perks, but at the same time promotes hooking survivors and disincentivizes slugging and tunneling just to get it.
Note that this does not include killers like Myers, Sadako and Spirit who have built-in mori mechanics. Those function as normal.

I'm including Rancor in that since it is technically her perk. I know anyone can use it, but my point still stands. Replace Spirit with Pig if you want.
And mori's do give bonus right now, but that is the only way to make full Ebony mori fair while avoiding potential problems with every killer having access to it every game. The point is to prioritize hooking over tunneling while still allowing the mechanic to exist in a non-stupid way.
Having only the last survivor be eligible for mori is asinine and pointless.

Making any of the moris basekit is a bad idea. Its going to negatively influence how survivors play because no one is going to want to be the last survivor. There will be matches where survivors will throw themselves at the killer the moment another survivor gets eliminated just so they don't have to deal with it. Besides that, its kind of a slap in the face to the last survivor because you're basically being punished for surviving this long.

Can't really make a full opinion on the mori offerings giving BP until they show how much get's awarded for it. It would have to be pretty substantial to warrant it over using any other BP offering.
However i always thought the idea if they did go with the Finisher Mori, is to make the mori offerinig's give the killer a differnt mori animation, that way there's 4 mori's for each killer basekit. However that's alot of extra moris and doesnt make much sense why they would be offerings but it would sort of be better than having to pay for a full linked cosmetic just to change the mori and removes the gamble aspect from the offerings that they are going with.

People dont tunnel because of the moris, with the moris gone the only thing changing will be so people slugg for the 4k much more often.4 -

It doesnt even only hurt the killer side (which is bad enough, taking away our mori offerings basicly) but i just realized it will impact the survivors just as badly with such a finisher system.
And thats what we told BHVR the first time, yet they still cling to this whole thing.Cosmetics… yeah i can imagine the main reason behind this is money….

Waaaaay back moris used to be instant. Many complaints about them, other than money and corporate greed, i can only imagine they still see moris in that way.
But i havent seen any complaints about moris here nor on steam discussion boards so. Its something the devs want to push without their playerbase being ok for it. In fact, games will be stalled even more if we consider now you have to slugg for the 4k if you want to see moris (in that finisher system)3 -
true i guess in the survivors PoV it will even increase the mori sequences. And in the killers PoV it will decrease unless a killer constantly can pull of 4k's maybe a nurse main with 12'000 hours.

First off, Behavior doesn't listen to or care about survivors. This is a stupid myth spread by the elitist killer playerbase to explain why they aren't able to get a kill. DBD is completely killer sided. period. However I agree, there is absolutely no reason to change the killer offering at all. Moris are the one thing that breaks up the repetitive matches. I'm a survivor main, and four k mori finishes add more excitement to the match. If your going to change anything, they should make devour hope base kit. I always had respect for any killer who uses that perk. It rewards strong killer play, and fair killer play. It doesn't charge if the killer camps. Most of the time, the stupid totem breaks before the killer player ever even benefits from the perk. Either remove the totem or make it a base kit. As a survivor main, if Behavior screws up the mori system, I will drop this game like the digusting bad habit its becoming.

My xeno has over 900 red moris lol its going to be a shame to just have them as extra cakes. Theyd have to be better than the yellow survivor puddings i guess

Don't down them and help them find haych by walking around with them it has happened to me without the finisher Mori.
