please do something about survivors taking the game hostage.
i’m stuck in a killer match, 2 survivors left on backwater swamp with only one gen done. This Renato and Nea haven’t touched a gen the last 20 mins. And i’m losing my patience. This needs to be addressed.

Check basement and the small double story shack. That's usually where they hide on that map if memory serves me right.

What else are they supposed to do if there are 4 gens left? There is no come back mechanic for survivors in the game, so the most optimal strategy for each survivor would be to wait for their teammate to die and then take the hatch/gates. They were playing the most optimal strategies each for the given situation, but I understand this kind of thing might be difficult to understand if you never play soloQ survivor.

I'm a solo queue survivor, and have always been. If there's 2 of us left and multiple gens to go then the game is over and I just sit at a gen until the killer finds me. The downside of course is that killers also waste my time in alot of these scenarios too, and will often slug me and then run off to find the hidden last person. So even though I did the "right" thing, I still get punished. So I can 100% understand why some people in that situation feel their best option is try and outlast the other survivor. But OP said it had been 20 mins. I'd rather spend a few minutes bleeding out than 20 minutes hiding. That's crazy excessive.

This is something that BHVR should be keeping an eye on and needs to fix as soon as possible.
I made a post talking about this 2 days ago and it seems that most people agree that the last 2 survivors just hiding and not progressing in the trial is a problem. let's hope BHVR solves this problem someday.

I'm torn between saying this is actually taking the game hostage or not, though, I'm inclined to say that it's not because they're in a TERRIBLE situation. 4 gens left to do, and only 2 survivors? Of course, they'd hide, what else are they expected to do? HAND themselves over to you????
Though, i wont lie, 20 minutes is a bit long. I'd probably turn myself in after like 10.4 -
Today I had a Thalita and Sable hide for 15 mins and I only found one of accident, on Fractured Cowshed it’s a big problem rn.

had that happen to me today too, very annoying. I did not bleed them out however because that is incredibly boring and I’d rather end the match and not think about how annoying they are.

If 2 survivors are hiding from you to waste your time, what did you do to them prior to that. Killers only get this treatment from my friend and I if they were playing like hard trash in the beginning. Were you camping? Hard tunneled the other 2 out? I mean by your own admission you had 2 dead with only one gen done, that smells like some toxic gameplay. Survivors have very few options to stop a killer who is playing like garbage, this happens to be one. Keep in mind they are wasting their time too. Since you then decided to bleed them out, I think you should evaluate your gameplay before demanding "Bhvr do something".
The better (more mature) play would have been to hook the one you found and hatch race the last.

How Coldwind is a problem? Easiest map to find survivors

They should simply change it so that in this case the remaining gens go down to 1 to go (with all remaining gens staying available but their progress is reset to 0) and if that's done gates open. On the other hand if the survivor can't manage that in 5-10 minutes they just get killed by egc mechanic on the spot. No more 1 hour hiding.

I always laugh at ppl who do that. They complain about survivors wasting their time, but you waste even more of your own time by being so stubborn to just not hook them and move on. Basically, it's the tombstone Michael and survivor in a locker. Both parties being so stubborn that they waste their own time. It's very comical for me.

I played fair all match, the survivors weren’t even that good in chases thats why only one gen got done.

i’m just giving them a taste of their own medicine. Doing this will hopefully make them learn to not hide in future games

there's no choice but to hide and hope for a hatch.

I just report people that do this it's 100% bannable to do nothing and hide for extended amounts of time as peanits has said before.

There are 2 people dead with one generator done, from my perspective neither side cared about the others enjoyment?

Just bring back the hatch. After two gens get completed and only two survivors alive the hatch spawns but is closed. If a third Gen is completed a key chest spawns on the map at random. Or people can start joining games with keys for the hatch. Once the hatch is closed by the killer it becomes broken and can no long be used and survivors must exit out the gate to win.

I had this happen, from the survivor perspective. One teammate got hooked and dropped. The other was hiding, not doing anything, I guess waiting for friend and I to die so they got hatch.May have been a dick move but was slugged and crawled to hider and they were hooked and dropped. Friend healed me.
II'm Thinking that the Plague fealty mercy for us and realized that we were screwed over, and realized we weren't being dicks to her about it and gave us our Spine Chill bonus on the other four generators and let us go.

I agree with both of yall, I had a few Survivors do the same thing to me and just try and wait it out and hope i that kill the other survivoror first or that i get mad and rage quit. It is frustrating because you could be in another match, but if you D/C you don't get no points so waste all of the time for nothing. I'm glad you found them
