Can We Please Have A Single Player Mode?

I know others have disagreed about this topic many times. But I just think it would be nice for those who want chill games like causal players. I know we are getting another mode but that’s a limited time mode. So anyway my point is that I would like to have mode where everyone can grind as much as they want and also be able to explore any map they want as well on both killer and survivor. I also forgot to mention that mobile kind of has a single player mode of sorts. So yeah I again think it would be nice for those who want more casual games without the hassle.

Not just casual players but new players too.

It can take a long time to get to grips with the wealth of different mechanics in this game, and 5 tutorials and a couple of bot matches just isn't enough.

I personally think they should start working on a limited single player campaign mode. Something along the lines of "Trial of the [Trapper/Wraith/Hillbilly]" where you load into a full bot match that puts you against that killer on their home realm. A few progressing stages that gradually adds perks to their load out, and the ability to repeat the last stage (all three of their perks plus a random generic). Allow it to grant a baseline amount of bloodpoints, so base scores without any bonuses or offering bonuses. So that new players can get a bit of a head start on the BP grind.

This of course requires programming bot behaviours for different killers, so just start out small with the first three and add other original killers later on.

As far as I know the devs stated they want to keep DBD a multi-player game, which is why you don't earn BP against bots and all that, so while I like the idea and think it would make the overall game better, I don't think the game will go that way...

I agree the game can be hard for new players to learn the game especially with new mechanics being added and then removed each time when an update comes. Also your idea on limited time single player mode campaign does sound really interesting and fun. That something I would also love to see for both newer players and casual players.

Yeah that is true but they have been known to change their minds on things. Cause we were able to get some game modes that we thought never happened. But like you said they mostly kept the multiple player core of the game. So maybe they’ll add a single player of sorts in the future.

Would like a custom mode for killer and survivor where player can choose from some options. Disable hatch, Round time, Banning Perks.

Then I could test some perks and explore maps and the competitive people could make better tournaments and 1 vs 1.

Indeed, 1v1 modes would also be great, we could literally an actual 1v1 ranked mode, in the beginning it could even m1 Trapper only or something like that, with further additions later…that mode could even have its own balancing, like no Bloodlust for example...

And 1vs1 are mainly more friendly, more casual than a common pub match.
I think we can learn much more from 1vs1 as the 'objectives' are different.
Even in a custom, all the maps are not available for example (the last aren't available).

And there is not really a reason to have a dx penalty, as there is no reason to slug or so...

    Absolutely.
