Please make Survivors have unique powers
There is no ingame reason to ever play certain Survivors, unlike how it is with Killers, where each has a set of special powers. Please consider giving Survivors a set of special powers that ONLY they can use as base kit to get more diversity in the Survivor pool. It's boring to see the same survivors on repeat. I myself only play 1 or 2 survivors ever, even though I have them all. There just isn't any reason to play them.
As a suggestion, pick one or more of their unique perks and make them base kit on them or some such. Or come up with something entirely new.

We have asked for this many times, but it was decided along time ago that they didnt want to do that.
Never say never tho.

If they did the player base would find the strongest and every lobby would get filled with that survivor.
Take a look at TCM, they had to introduce a queue ban of people left because they didnt getting the character they wanted.
It would also mean that only the strongest would get used, so now no one else will get outfits because of the meta. I prefer it being that survivors don't play differently.

they maintain statistics of each match. If they don't get the mix they want, adjust powers until they come more in line with what they'd like to see…seems simple

You really want even worse of a balancing? They don't even get the balancing right if only killers, addon, perks and items are affecting the match, it would be even worse with a ability for every survivor.
Besides that you wouldn't make the situation better, you would even more encourage to only play the same few survivors because they have the best abilitys, or why do you think you see the same few perks most of the time? xD

Yes, seems simple to track 42 different survivors abilities, making them different enough to justify playing them but not strong enough to unbalance the game
You are absolutely right, piece of cake

As my boss always tries to tell me, "it's only 3 lines of code"…
