PS4 Graphics & Performance Vs. PS5 for DBD
I'm getting really excited for cross progression so I can play on something other than Nintendo Switch.
I was considering buying a Playstation 5 just for this game but I've heard the controllers have horrible drift issues and a PS5 is not cheap.
I actually have a PS4 that I bought in 2018, played a few times and never touched again.
So, how big is the gap between both Graphics and Performance between the two? Should I just dust off the PS4? I'd love to hear from people who have played on both! Thank you!

The graphical difference is probably pretty huge but I’d consider it whatever.
The performance difference however is pretty substantial. Given that you’ve played the game on switch I’d reckon you have a fairly high tolerance for poor performance though
The PS5 generally hits 60FPS during gameplay, but it performs pretty horribly in menus (especially compared to PC). The PS4 improbably averages 45 FPS.
What I’d reckon is buying the game when it gets discounted on PSN and then trying the game on PS4. You’ll get the license for both the PS4 version and the PS5 version. If the PS4 performance doesn’t bother you, stick with that. If it does, maybe think about getting a PS5.
Should be noted that the game sounds like an airport if you’re playing on PS4.0 -
What do you mean sounds like an airport?

The consoles fan is going to be very loud while playing. It almost sounds like someone is vacuuming next to you...

You should hear the Switch fan after a couple matches, and it gets so hot too.
