Look at what they did to my boy

I miss stbfl being good I didn't camp with it and there was a better fix then killing it completely on nemesis and xeno and kind of slinger.

I would have made stbfl deactivate when your too close to a hooked survivor and remove that effect endgame because the devs for some reason have shown camping in endgame is an intended strategy.

Stbfl is still good just on less killers which I'm sad about because I really liked it on killers who mixed m1 and m2 hits. It also carried my hillbilly when I still only used the saw for mobility and poorly positioned survivors. Then I dropped him for oni and stopped needing it.

In all reality this is probably a nostalgia post because it's still good on doc and clown and is much less abusable by certain killers but I just imagine old stbfl chucky and unkown maybe even vecna and I just get sad I can't see it on those killers. (Yes I realize it may have been out for some of those but I didn't realize I had finite time with the perk and was still running silly stuff like nurses calling alien instinct hysteria blood echo)

The thing is the perk was made with myers m1 only in mind. Hillbilly existed but mostly went for chainsaw hits anyway. Since the roster expanded to have several m2 killers that could not only make use of it but abuse it like Alien, it kinda lost the focus it had of simply "leave the obsession alone" which was all of myers perks. It was meant to be strong but with a downside. Without the downside its very very hard to get away from when mixed with the other xeno perk that gives you haste when u hit them because not only do you get a big speed boost the same time the survivor does, you recover and start gunning them down much faster with full stacks, and never losing those stacks was kind of overpowered. Id blame xeno i guess for the perk being nerfed to actualy force even m2 killers to leave the obsession alone

Same with perks that made gen kick meta happen but now they add anti 3gen and killer reworksz they still haven't reverted it back

Yeah, kinda annoyed how bad it is for Deathslinger. It was kinda main perk to make him viable imo.

At least the gen kick perks got nerfed before the system was introduced.

The anti camp system was put out and then stbfl got hit.

Yeah that's true, it doesn't make sense why they did that 😂

Its camping potential was not the only issue with it though. The basic attack cooldown reduction in 6.1.0 made STBFL's former 40% reduction at max tokens too powerful and being able to conserve stacks with special attacks on the obsession removed too much of the perk's counterplay since the obsession couldn't reduce the token count by taking hits. The nerf needed to happen and it's still a pretty good perk on most m1-oriented killers.
