A good bandaid fix for map offerings
when i play at night the majority of my matches have a map offering . Could we make sacrificial ward only get burned if it activelly counters a map . I hate how most times i do bring a ward it just happens to be against a team who didn't try and send me to erye. Simply making wards only get used if they canvel a map would help alot against this. I am asking for to much just to get a random map and not be sent to the same 5 realms everytime ?

All offerings are a gamble, included sacrificial ward.
I don't want to derail your topic but:'to get a random map and not be sent to the same 5 realms everytime ?'
And what about to face up the same killer 5 times in a row ? because it happens sometimes, so survivors bring maps offerings to compensate for that & killer brings sacrificial ward (even in these 2 cases, you have a minor chance that not works).

bad take and an excuse for using map offerings .

I just try negative reinforcement instead.
You bring a map offering? You are dead...
I wish you could see, who bring what offering, even if there are not 4 offerings by survivors. Otherwise I have to kill whole team, just to be sure.

No, the excuse is 'you bring a sacrificial ward, you burn it forever' whether it was useful or not. The desc.of these offerings & how these offerings work are very clear.
But I can understand you are tired of Eriee of Crows, Macmillan's or RPD.
But make a topic about that… I think that is a bit exaggerate1 -
I wouldn't mind any map offerings/wards getting returned to the inventory if not applied, for either side. But I see the gamble aspect of burning them, and we do visually see them get burned.
As an alternative, what if the wards are changed to brown rarity, and killers also get one with each prestige level reached, to ensure a somewhat reasonable supply of them?

Maps are not people. Killers have actual, breathing humans behind them. Your comparison is nonsense.
Make maps iri or something. Sac wards would be more common if the bloodweb wasn't clogged up with green offerings.

Apparently, you didn't have faced on 3 Hillbillies in a row on Autohaven or 3 Blight/Knights in a row on Coldwind farms. Or 3 Nurses on MacMillan's.

I wouldn't mind... Especially Billy, I like to play against Billy.

I did too, I was my main before the last remake but as he always (99% of the time) play the same way, with the same add-ons ('Spiked Boots' with the Iri Engravings), with the same strat' (starting a chase then give up if he can't down you in the 10secs) or just M1 if you are injuried, I'm starting to just hate it because I get bored to face on him again. They are just fake Curve Hillbillies honestly & they never will to improve themselves…
For the Blights/Knights, I don't need to explain more about how boring they are on these map. & same thing for the Nurse naturally…0 -
Map offerings arent an issue on their own. The real issue is that survivors could bring 1 map offering and 3 different offerings that could benefit them (currently most toxic combo is Springwood and spawning the basement in killer shack and the hatch in main building). Where killers can only bring 1 offering.
Not only that, but 1 killer map offering has an equal chance against survivors bringing a single map offering. Meaning if they bring 2 map offerings that oppose your map offering, there is a 67% chance one of their maps get picked.
They should change the killer map offering into something similar to a sacrificial ward, or only give killers access to green map offerings and reintroduce yellow map offerings to survivors.0 -
No, but I've faced four weskers in row. No exaggeration.
I also never thought they should have longer queue times or that I'm a special boy who should be exempt from the horror of playing vs the same killer a few times. I just played the matches and it was not a big deal.
