Weave Attunement Change
This is just a change that nerfs the perk without gutting it.
- While a survivor has their aura revealed, they can see the dropped item
- Dropped items can only reveal aura once they have 0 charges remaining
These changes make it so survivors have a chance to stop the perk from working via being able to find the item that is revealing them, while also making the WA + FD combination no longer be instant value but still viable due to FD causing items to lose charges.
I think this change is all the perk needs without completely gutting it (looking at what they did to Ultimate Weapon)

Sounds pretty fair. I would prefer this and/or that they change franklins, which is far more annoying than this perk.

This completely removes the great synergy between Franklins and Weave but most importantly you literally gutted Weave lmao. By the time an item has 0 charges it’s going to be in the corner of the map.
If you take Franklins, waiting 90 seconds for an item to lose charges so your Weave activates is insane. And if you don’t have Franklins you basically rely on survivors to always deplete their items instead of just 99 them thus making Weave completely useless and lock it to always being used with Franklins.
Aura reveal on dropped items is the only fair change.

The current "instant value" synergy between WA and Franklins is likely why it is getting changed in September/October regardless.
It doesn't remove the synergy at all, Franklin's still makes the dropped item lose charges it just now takes longer for it to set up. Plus it takes 90 seconds to FULLY deplete an item, so if the item has been used, say like on a gen or healing or finding totems etc. it takes even less time.People can 99 their items now vs WA anyway. I understand that the thought of a perk being rendered useless via a Survivor making a conscious effort to not fully use an item and making sure it is away from everyone seems like it would be bad, but it isn't. Currently, survivors only counterplay to the Perk Combo is hoping you were the one with the item and remembering where you got hit first.
The perk still functions fine on it's own, as the vast majority of the time survivors wouldn't drop depleted items unless WA forced them to. It still functions with Franklin's, it just requires time. Plus, if you are worried about survivors getting their item back, you can see the item before they can through WA/FD aura reveal, you'll know where they are going and if they pick it up, they are oblivious from WA.
Even if the only change to the perk is allowing Survivors to see the item that they are revealed by, it should be fine.

First one is good. Second one is overkill.
But hey, this is probably what they'll end up doing. They love double nerfing.

Yeah, probably. But I think the main frustration point around it for survivors isn't the information given, it's the fact they can't counteract it reliably.

Only making the item visible on the ground is enough change. People are forgetting this combo has too many counters and can easily backfire to the killer if the person has Object of Obsession
