make MMR Visable (Old Post Edited)

Member Posts: 27

(OLD Post) BRO why is it all about bloodpoints when it comes to the ranking!!?? it should be harder to reach iridesent rank in some way and make it so you can flex with your rank and FIX THE MMR (UPDATE: I Want To See My Own MMR at least, and i like the Grade System and the Blood Points)

For what? You have absolute dominance if you won ether as survivor by escaping or as killer by killing 3 to 4 players. It's completely irrelevant what rank you are if you lost xD

Just make BP gains similar between Killer and Survivor, we don't really need grades anymore IMHO.

Giving this playerbase a number that they think is synonymous with their level of skill wouldn't be a good idea, just for the ways in which it would be misused.

I think what @kit_mason is trying to say here is that this playerbase is both overly competitive for what this game is, and overly whiny and judgemental for what this game is.

People DC and leave lobbies because of prestige levels so we're having those taken away from us. What do you think people will do when we can all see everyone's MMR?

People already bully perceived new players, especially new Killers. People already smurf for easier targets, both sides. What do you think they'll do when they can see everyone's MMR?

People are already horrible to others in the endgame chat and on profiles, in DMs on console, etc. What do you think they'll do if say, a really mean high MMR Survivor group gets matched with a really new low MMR Killer who gets just absolutely bodied, and the Killer happens to be learning a difficult to master Killer with techs like Wesker, or a hated Killer like Skull Merchant, and they don't play well and lose?

People already dismiss others based on hours played, who you play, and whether you like Killer or Survivor more. What do you think they will do when they can see MMR on everyone?

For several reasons, no. MMR should not be shown. If it's shown, it should be in the player stats tab you open by clicking the badge - private and anonymous and for the player's eyes only.

Even before grades came the rank wasn't a flex at all, you got rank one eventually at some point and the only thing it meant was that you get matched with other people at rank one (potentially the best people).

My point is: Only because you got matched with them it didn't mean you could flex with that, only a win is a real flex. So if you lost you were still not better than them and you have nothing to flex with.

(That being said it's a really broken down version of a mindset because of builds, map rng, team and so on... so of course you could be still better with losing to them, but I wouldn't ever say the grade/rank itself could be used to flex)

(I hope everything is understandable, I'm german so some things might sound weird because of different gramatics xD oh and next time tag me with an "@" please so I can see it)

there are more reasons for MMR to be shown then Not, i agreee people should not see each others MMR, But you should be able to see your own

VantablackPharaoh91 WROTE: People are already horrible to others in the endgame chat

(then end game chat should not EXIST DUE TO TOXICITY)

(Toxicity is not an excuse to not show MMR, Plus that goes to another point, Endgame Chat Shouldent Be A Thing, and People should learn to ignore online crap talkers, plus strong people do ignore dummies online, not playing well is not excuse either)

( Again ignore idiots online and toxicity is not a excuse to devolve DBD)
