Make Huntress Skillful Again
Right now, her hatchet throw takes no skill, aim in a direction and you'll hit 99% of your shots, even blindfolded. Before, it was awesome to see Huntress skill shots because, it took skill to hit, and you were massively rewarded for it.
Hell you can even have it where she carries 12 hatchets before reloading if you just make hitting shots take more skill/aim.

Eh, I don't think it's fair to say she takes no skill. Her fundamentals are the same.

Her hatboxes are the same since release. They were changed back in 2018 for a few weeks and they were awful and her already low kill rate plummeted even more. They are fine as they are.

I guess they could reduce the hitbox, but as balance there could be a crosshair that's available for all players regardless of platform. BHVR have stated they have no issues PC players using a crosshair, but then only one group benefits from this so yeah make it universal and go from there for further adjustments if necessary.

They fixed it once but because huntress players could no longer hit a survivor by throwing a fridge in the survivor's general direction, they reverted it. So now we still have those broken hitboxes.

I wouldn't say her hatchets take no skill, and their hitbox has been only changed once, a long time ago, before being reverted, but a 10% (5% from each side) reduction in hitbox would be fine, imo. The hitbox would still be bigger than the actual hatchet size, but would lead to less bs hits, while still keeping Huntress strong.

both are an issue and should be fixed. survivor hitboxes should be vaguely survivor shaped instead of a cylinder that lags behind them and hatched hitboxes should be hatchet shaped instead of spheres, but that will probably never happen.

Its not meant to be hard to land at close-mid range, because if you let her see you you've already made too many mistakes. Getting hit by huntress is 99% a skill issue, whether it be your pathing or snipe mindgames or whatever. If you just find a rock she cant use her power at all plus shes slower, so if you get yourself hit after a full wind up, sound cue, and throw, its almost always on the fault of the survivor.

And for the health of the game they never should be changed. If survivors Hitboxes were accurate and followed the survivor and there lean then looping would be much harder for them.
If Huntress’s hitboxes were changed she would go from being in the bottom 5 of kill rates to the very bottom.

There's nothing wrong with Huntress, in fact she's just not a strong killer in the current meta.

Hitbox didn't change, they are not faster. Actual throwing aspect is exactly same.

its not so much its not skill but more of the fact even if she makes a mistake, she can try again, and again, and again, …..x3 more times
Its more of the fact she has SO MANY hatchets which makes it unskillful, because eventually she will get a shot with 7 hatchets.

Right now? The only thing that's changed is that she got the green windup addon basekit.
She's fine. If we wanna make her more fair, give her 6 hatchets instead of 7, but add a crosshair option to the game. That would help newer huntress players and console players a ton, while not making much impact for high level players.
Ping is the biggest issue when playing against her, but that's an issue against all killers.

I have the same question for OP as well. To my recollection, nothing about what they're talking about has ever changed, let alone recently.

Well, my comment was related to OP. This part:

Which doesn't really make sense, when her there was no change to her hatchet itself. Skill component is exactly same, mainly when we talk about long range shots.

I think, there was a change where hatchet's hitbox was reduced, but either it was just PTB attempt, or it was reverted quickly.
But that's long time ago...
It actually used to be even easier for her before (long time ago), since hit validation didn't exist. I sometimes get my hits denied, which is very annoying, when my ping is lower than almost all survivors I play against.
