face camping meter after gen completion
love the face camp meter, but it needs to stay regardless of the state of the game. otherwise killers just camp a hooked surv during endgame and makes it unfun for everyone involved

No. Endgame is endgame.

Sure, then let's start the endgame collapse as soon as the last gen is done

Once the gens are done, the killer no longer needs to patrol gens or pretty much anything else but guard a hooked surv.
8 -
They did that on purpose. It's nit fish they can't at least in endgame try and solidify a kill. At that point people will leave if they can't unhook them.

So once the killer has effectively lost and they have "nothing else to do", why is the killer entitled to a free kill, or more free downs and hooks?
Let's flip it around the other way. Let's say the killer has crushed the game, everyone is slugged on the floor, or 3 people are dead and there's one person left. Why do the survivors deserve a free escape, or lots of more free chances for escape?

so does it make a killer feel accomplished when they stand in front of a survivor thats on the hook? cuz i know when im a killer i actually like to play the game even when the gens are done with

The game should really make every player give killer a try

I understand why people feel like it's a silly pity kill system but honestly, if the anti facecamp were still enabled then it would simply be a pity escape system instead. The gameplay loop in endgame is changed from the rest of the match, if a player was hooked then the objective now becomes about the other 3 Survivors needing to coordinate a camping Killer to make the save, which tbh leads to some really fun and intense endgames. If that wasn't an aspect then every endgame would just be an easy free escape, and that would be much more of a guaranteed pity system if you ask me. There's many scenarios where a Survivor can avoid being hooked in endgame. If the AFC were still enabled, there's literally nothing a Killer could do to prevent the escape. So yeah, if we're talking about a pity system… enabling AFC during endgame would be much more the definition of a pity system than having it disabled.

No it's gone because the killer doesn't have anything to defend anymore besides the hook.
Protecting the hook becomes effectively the new task for the killer: with basekit bt, grabs taken away AND 10 seconds added per hookstate next patch there's no reason to not get the unhook even with the killer camping (of course only if it's a killer that's allowing it, so no bubba, huntress, trickster and so on).

If the gens are done what else is there to do? I have 1 person on a hook and the other survivor is elsewhere. Why would I leave the hook? My goal is to make sure the survivor is dead. Its called DEAD by daylight for a reason.

No, when you flip it around, there is the hatch...
Also 4% attempts.

Free escape. FREE. Not RNG.
Where is the RNG in face camping a hook?

It's not really FREE for most killers at least. It is possible to get everyone out, mainly if survivors have perks for it.
So RNG factor is survivors. How they will react? What is their build?
Sure, if killer is Bubba, or Huntress, then someone is most likely going to die unless there is big missplay. Not impossible tho
If you want hatch to be FREE, you just need perk for location and key.
Even you don't always get something, it can be considered FREE.

Honestly if you start end game collapse and make it a flat 3 minutes regardless of hooks or downs... that would be something.
Remember Me and No Way Out might need a relook though xD

No thanks. I like my guaranteed 2k by camping one survivor early game and camping the other with noed :]
