Suggestions For The Upcoming Unknown Tweaks (As A P100 Unknown)

Upon release Unknown was the perfect killer, seen that way in the eyes of many, and I still very much love playing as and against him to this day.

However as time has gone on, 6 months and two new killers came out, Unknown has had time to settle in the minds of survivors and how to counter him a bit better.

Almost so to the point where he can feel powerless now with just a slight juke to the left/right.

The main issue is that it has become incredibly easy to dodge the Unknown's UVX shots past a range of about 10 meters, and even then, if they get right up in your face, you can't look down far enough to have the UVX hit the ground and damage them.

So they are either to far to hit, or two close.


My main suggestion to change this are as follows:

Add 2.5 Seconds to the weakened timer (10 + 2.5 = 12.5) I was originally thinking 15 would be good however I believe this next thing would be best combined.

Reduce the cooldown on UVX from 6 seconds, down to 4. With how long the current cooldown is, already more than have the timer is gone on the survivors Weakened timer by the time he can shoot another one, and even then you have to factor in pulling it out, travel time, and explosion radius expansion time.

Most Importantly! Increase the speed of the projectile! In it's current state, it is just too slow moving in the air, and incredibly easy to dodge. The best survivors down to even the worst can dodge his UVX nowadays since he's been out for a while.

Finally, let him look down further so people can't run underneath your range, because a lot of the times they do it at a pallet, then when you put your UVX away they can throw the pallet before and M1.

Another solution to this could instead be, allow direct hit to inflict damage, but with an immunity to getting double shot. I think arguably it is way more difficult to hit a direct shot rather than a hit with the explosion so the fact that it is more of a punishment to hit a direct shot than an even better benefit (Like a health state + the 6% slow) just seems a little strange.

(The reason for the immunity on impact giving a health state, is because a lot of times it will go through there ankles and then hit the ground, which could cause an unfair insta down if they are already weakened.

Finally, ADD ON CHANGES
I love Unknowns add ons, but some of them do absolutely nothing. He has a purple exhaustion and blindness add on that pretty much do nothing.

Here are some better ideas for said purples or perhaps replacing some yellows/browns

"Healing another survivor will infect a survivor with Weakened" as a new purple replacing the blindness
"Increased blast radius range by 0.10 meters" Yellow/brown Green could be higher tier like 0.25 meters
"Adds One Extra Clone" Purple


I have spoken with a friend of mine who is also a P100 Unknown and their main issue was the projectile speed on the UVX ball being to slow. The current best way to hit long range shots and probably the only possible way is by having them be unaware, like using perks for undetectable or monitor and abuse, however even these strategies have stopped working as well versus good survivors.

Faster Cooldown on UVX
Faster Projectile Speed
Ability To Look Down OR Ability for direct hits to injure. (Not both)
Various Add on adjustments

This I believe would solve a majority of Unknowns grievances and make him a lot more fun to play against survivors with basic movement knowledge.

    They need to adjust his hitboxes and delete or rework how he can hit survivors through some structures, especially ceilings.

    I think he'll be getting part of Blurry Photo basekit, and that's it. He's pretty decent as is and well liked on both sides, he's probably not getting too many changes.

    12.5s weakened duration with 4s cooldown would be extremely oppressive, I don't like that idea. I do agree that the "counterplay" of running right into Unknowns face to dodge UVX because he can't aim down is dumb and being able to look straight down would be a very nice change.

    But we'll see what they change in a little over a week.
