Do not remove the aura reading from Lucky Star.
I really don't know why they decided to remove the aura reading, there was nothing overpowered about it in the slightest, it only helped solo queue players and I'm really mad that they are removing it.
I was pretty happy with it now muting grunts of pain for as long as you are in the locker, while it stays with you for 30 seconds after leaving it, but removing the aura reading takes away an important part of the perk that some solo players (including myself) liked to use.
I made a post in the past on how I'd change the perk if you want to check it out:
Devs, if you are going to go through with the change, I really don't care if you nerf the 30 second duration to like 20 or 10, but PLEASE bring back the survivor and closest generator reveal, removing it is not a good idea!

Totally agree. They could have just added the buff and kept the aura reading too. Why bring this perk over Iron Will now? On the topic of bad buffs, I don't like that they reduced the duration on Blood Echo. They even said that the hook requirement was a natural cooldown. Reminds me of when they buffed some aspects of Terrirotial Imperative only to further nerf the cooldown.
Other than that these perk changes are great though.

Definitely needs some kind of identity to compensate. I rather like the aura read, but without it, it's just a Pay To Have A Crap Version of Iron Will.
If it got something to really set it apart, like slow locker entry speed increased by 75%, and/or could see the aura of lockers within 24m, that would give it something unique, but right now, it's just a sub-par version of other perks.

Agreed. It was my favourite part of the perk. Don't take it away from me BHVR…

Checked out your suggestion, and found my comment under it lol.
But yeah, my opinion is the same, I would like the version you made.

the duration should be buffed to 60 seconds for leaving a locker, 30 second is too little. i don't see anyone running it even with head-on.

iron will cannot be combined with exhaustion perks but this perk can be combined with exhaustion perks and has synergy with head-on. the problem is that reward is too low. 10-15 second was irrelevant and 30 second is not enough. at 60 seconds, i can see player using it with head-on as alternative iron will. it is more expensive and has somewhat more risk because your entering locks mid-chase but it has potencial synergy.

Yeah fair point… that was normally how I used it as part of a Quick and Quiet, Head On build… Prior to the Iron Will buff, Lucky Star let you hide your grunts of pain for a better chance of pulling off Head On, but that utility already got kinda subverted by Iron WIll being 100% again. Now if you want head On, Iron WIll will probably serve you better for most of the game, since it still works after you've pulled it off. It does have a slight advantage in the regards to the fact it's less obvious it's in play, since it's ONLY when you go into a locker… but you're still on a crap shoot of if the killer opens that locker of not….
So… without that primary 100% locker silence purpose, it's only remaining use was as a means of hiding in a locker while exhausted, which still needs Q&Q to be remotely viable, and even then is rarely wise, since killers will often sniff you out anyway…. but it was still a decent perk, because you got the auras as well, so it was still useful for things like Flashbang, or as part of a build utilising Inner Strength or something similar to find and help an ally in chase efficiently…
You could even use is as a perk that you can trigger to find an ally to heal you if you got separated on unhook or after a successful killer dodge via a locker… the value of Lucky Star wasn't any individual effect, it was the culmination of a lot of little effects that gave is a surprising amount of versatility. With the auras gone, now it is nowhere near as versatile, and now is in direct competition with Iron Will… and most of the time, it falls short….
The one time it is more useful now is if you run Lucky Break, Overcome, Quick and Quiet and hop into a locker, which it could do before… and even that is no longer as good, because you can't then use the auras to find someone to heal you to keep/charge up Lucky Break…
I'd prefer if Lucky Star either kept it's auras…
OR
It got a more unique identity as THE locker perk. If your slow locker entry was made 75% faster, and/or had a 24m aura read on lockers, that would be a nice change… that would actually help it stand out vs. Iron Will and also see its usage considered for things like Flashbang, Head On, Inner Strength, Built To Last, where the survivor has several small locker related effects that make the usage of these perks easier/smoother.0 -
I would like if it showed the locker I was hiding in so I could use it with head on too, or just add that to head on please

it does hide blood pools. maybe the perk should also hide scratch marks as well. Iron will, hide scratch marks and blood pool for 60 second can be direct competitor to iron will. I think iron will would still be popular because it is easier to use and doesn't have cumbersome risks. currently the numbers just are not good enough.

Scratch Marks...
Although... might be a bit for a giveaway if scratch marks suddenly vanish 😅

Yes, Lucky Star didn't need its prior effects nerfed. I don't understand this whole - let's buff a perk but add a major downside to it like they did with Calm Spirit and Technician.
It's just practically an Iron Will into lockers perk. I've heard people say it helps Head On users, but there was no need to remove the aura for gens and other survivors... You could argue that with its current changes and putting the old effects on, it'll help a survivor regroup as they now evaded a chase and can see other survivors to get healed.

Just wanted to clarify for you that this was from an older version of the perk and slipped through into the Dev Update. Aura reading is unaffected.

Great to hear! Thanks for letting us know.

Was Zanshin Tactics also from an older version of the perk? That perk also had aura reading unnecessarily removed, and I was wondering if the current aura reading is unaffected on Zanshin Tactics too.

Zanshin Tactics change is as intended for the PTB.

Yep.
My suggestion:
Lucky Star- How about remove blindness when the Survivor is in a locker and/or keep the aura reading?

Oh perfect, thank you!

Good to hear! Was that the only old/wrong information or are there others on perks or killers?

If any more are brought to my attention, we will make sure to communicate it, but everything else is solid. These things happen!
