Giving up on hook is a plague

3 games in a row. I'm in a duo stack with my girlfriend, and the first person to go down from a 1 gen chase starts to end the game early for himself. After he gets saved, he runs straight to the killer and dies. For what? To make things better, we get down to 2 gens to go, and the other survivor in our lobby gives up on first hook. Seriously? What the hell is with survivors now? What happened?

Giving up on hook is a plague

Welcome to the non full SWF gaming of DBD.

The 4% self-unhook mechanic and potentially a second stage hook struggle should be reworked. For players who want to play these mechanics do nothing but for griefers they serve as an easy way out. It's time this ''archaic'' thing gets replaced with something meaningful that doesn't allow people ruin games on purpose.

  • By now they could easily turn off hook suicides with how they changed wiggling, changed hook struggling being a button mash etc. Im just not sure whats taking them so long to just put it into a ptb.

Of course it has to be taken into consideration.

If gameplay against some killer or tactic is miserable they should be balancing on it.

Skull merchant is miserable and has to be changed, legion or plague with thana is miserable aswell, why not change that?

Balumba has too much of a buff? Let's figure it out.

Blight, nurse or spirit has high suicide rate? Let's figure out why and change that.

We need this to be taken into consideration, period.

    No.

The mechanic that allows ruining games for 4 others by bypassing the DC penalty needs to go.

Complaints around balance can be raised to the devs through the forums like all other feedback.

Even if survivors had an 80% chance to escape, people would still ‘go next’ on a whim.

I see people give up because they failed a pallet save or got downed trying to get to a flashlight blind. It’s not the killers fault people act selfish and entitled, it’s the fact there’s a system in game that allows the behaviour to happen without an repercussions.

"After he gets saved, he runs straight to killer and dies."

When you see this happen, simply report it for "Working with killer", the more people that do this, the more people will get punished for doing it. One thing is hook suicide, another thing is just running straight to killer and getting killed.
