Question for survivors: slug and knockout
I’ll start a little from afar, I’m a soft killer in the sense that I often release the last survivor, and sometimes several survivors at once (in one match, 3 survivors traded with me (they gave me first aid kits and a toolbox) and I let them go, but sometimes if I have to leave the survivor for 10-30 seconds on the ground I get a lot of insults, it’s especially funny to get them from anty hooks swf or from people with boil who run to the edge of the map where there are no hooks and then complain that I didn’t pick them up. Now closer to the topic
Lately I've been hearing a lot of complaints about knockout and slug
I think:
- Slug has counter-perks and is easy to destroy + you do not progress on hooks + the killer gets less blood points and needed only for temporary increase pressure
- knockout the killer spends a perk slot, uses M1, + if you are SWF, this is ineffective since you know where your friend, and even alone, if you are within 32 meters of the killer and the survivor is down, you you almost always know where the survivor is, so useful only in solo squads and on inattentive survivors
Therefore, dear survivors, I would like to know your opinion, why do you so not like to lie on the ground and why is there so much noise around it?

Nobody uses anti-slug cause there is nothing really usable to begin with. Or should everyone run No Mither from now on? Even then youre most likely down in another few seconds again and this is rinse and repeat until everyone is down or bled out. Also it isnt easy to "destroy" at all unless you play 4-man-SWF with pickup perk and even then depending on the slug-build, you have more issues to cover than anything else.
Sluggin builds are since the old days the utmost unfun way to get over (play wouldnt even be a possible word for this) the game. There is not a single argument to pretend that slugging builds should even be a part of this game.

No, dude. You have so many good things to use as anti-slug. Unbreakable has always been there, if not for the self-pickup then for the quicker recovery speed. Boon Exponential, though rare, is like Unbreakable for the whole team. Plot Twist forces the killer to pick you up, because if not then you get healed straight to full. Knockout, the killer has to hope it's not a SWF, even a 2-man, or else their game plan is ruined. Same thing with the Third Seal totem being found. I really don't want something to be done about slugging, because it's gonna be overkill and it's gonna be something that's used offensively instead of defensively, exactly as what happened with base BT. Everything seems to be encroaching on how the killer's allowed to play, giving them an ever-expanding list of stuff to worry about, not even just the perks but the base mechanics.

Try playing as survivor in soloq against a killer who uses this tactic, you cant talk and have an honest unbiased opinion if you never have deal with this scenario because you wont be able to feel what other people feels here. Its almost impossible to fight back these matches in solo q, and its a pain in the ass having to wait that much time on the ground, doing nothing, whats the game design behind that? Its nothing more than bad and toxic game design. Of course its not killer fault if BHVR gaves them the tools to do it, this needs to go.
Lets say everyone starts using this antislugging perks as you mentioned, that would be a pain in the ass for a lot of killers that relies on slugging, like oni and even perhaps twins. And there are tons of situations where sluggins is the correct play for a killer, but in this scenario not even that will help you, and you know what comes after this, the millions of killer mains posting here complains against unbreakble, boon exponential, etc asking for nerfs. Because it will happen, its a ######### circle.
I consider it equally as bad as the old eruption, it wont let you play the game, what kind of dev wants people to stop playing their game? Well, only BHVR. Because if slugging starts being meta I can assure you, you will start having a lot more bots in your matches. How fun6 -
DbD is not a counterpick game. I think most experienced players know that, assuming they're arguing in good faith. If you run a build to counter slugging, you're going to have half a useless loadout most games. You can't balance survivor mechanics around perks. It doesn't work. People aren't psychic. It's why they had to introduce basekit BT in the first place. The mechanic has to be balanced on its own, and Knockout vs solo queue is absolutely not balanced.

"Why don't you like lying on the floor for 4 minutes doing nothing" Because there's this thing called fun and killer mains wouldn't understand the word since most just play like they're in some tournament and their family is on the line but survivors don't actually enjoy lying on the floor for 4 minutes doing nothing

The pendulum of killer complaints always swings from "jUsT BrInG ThE PeRkS" to counter camping, tunneling, slugging, terrible map RNG, or even anti loop on one extreme, to "nerf the survivor meta, why are people bringing DS, Unbreakable, Reassurance, and OTR every game, nerf everything!" On the other extreme.

but you don’t have to just lie on the floor, you can crawl to the nearest generators or main and there, with a high probability, you will meet another survivor, or if you see that the killer is laying down 1 survivor can simply run and lift until the killer hangs him on a hook and you're being picked up, other survivors will have a ton of time to fix the generators
this problem is more like a pinhead box, when all the survivors are sitting on generators and no one wants to take the box, which is why the whole team begins to sufferso, as for me, the problem is not in the slug but in the fact that random solo survivors cannot show sufficient subordination and take responsibility
to engage in anti-slug activities(I repeat, I never use the slug like 4 min death, I’m just thinking about the situation)

That's not how this usually goes though. The killer typically proxies the slug to some degree when they're running a Knockout build. Most survivors are not playing on comms. Blind, unspoken, perfect coordination cannot be the counterplay for the mechanic.
