Finisher Mori as a way to delay the game for half an hour

Each match now lasts 20-30 minutes because the killers always want mori. But I want to play as usual for 10-15 minutes and go to the next match. Build in Unbreakable, no one needs half-hour matches

I didn't say that a Unbreakable it was a panacea. The Mori finishing mechanic should be removed from the game altogether, but if it exists, let it be Unbreakable

Is the Finisher Mori system unhealthy and incentivizes boring and unfun gameplay? Absolutely.

Would basekit Unbreakable fix that? Hell no, it would create a lot more problems than it would solve, there's a reason basically the whole playerbase rejected the devs's first attempt at pushing the Finisher Mori alongside basekit Unbreakable, it was horrible and greatly limited gameplay alongside putting Killers in tons of lose-lose situations, even more so against SWF teams.

The Finisher Mori system is likely there to justify a future monetization of Mori animations, as there is literally no positives about it from a gameplay standpoint. All it does is encourage players to sweat and slug people for 4 minutes in order to see that juicy animation and it'll only get worse if/when new Mori animations get sold and people want to justify their purchase.

I think there was a general overraction for that ub basekit system. Right now it would solve a lot of things in the game without damaging too much on the other side. Now killers can go and slug the entire team without any consequences. Making 4 people lives miserable. that needs to change. Gameplay is built around hooks and gens. On the survivor side avoiding doing gens can make the game longer but the balance of the match its still given by the killer. But on the other hand if killer refuses to hook he can still win but in the most toxic way, denying gameplay for the other side. The finisher match mori system was bad designed from the get go and it was proven by nurses and blights finishing matches in 2-3 minutes.

I agree that hatch should be reworked. It should punish killers for slugging for 4k. Like if you leave someone sluggled for over a minute when there are only two survivors left, two hatches should open relatively close to the survivors. Not right next to them, but enough to encourage killers to put people on hooks and stop wasting time and making the game worse.

And I say this as someone who plays a decent amount of killer. I'll slug for 4k against bully squads, but I'd accept that nerf to my power to stop mindless slugging for 4k.

Edit: Yes... I typed sluggled up above and I'm standing by that.

I have not seen this at all in my survivor games. Whoops.

So survivors should get a free victory for not being able to do their job? many survivors already abuse the hatch by hiding for 30 minutes, now 3 survivors will do this

Not to mention how much it unfair to the killer, imagine reverse logic when all the survivors escape but the game just kills 2surv at the gate

I was mostly using hyperbole with the suggestion I made. However, I would definitely support Behavior devs punishing bm by making the game harder for people who engage in tunneling, camping, teabagging at all pallets, etc.

Also, that suggestion really isn't so bad. It wouldn't be a free victory, just suddenly tilt the match a bit to give survivors the chance they're supposed to get with hatch. And if the killer would do their job and put people on hooks, then no problem.

As far as the inverse, if survivors were teabagging at every pallet and then they just collapsed for being jerks, they'd deserve it.

I struggle to imagine someone being so competitive in real life nonprofessional games that they taunt their friends, or subject them to some hopeless situation just so they could have a 'bigger victory'. I'm very good at basketball, but I tone it down a notch when my opponent isn't doing great. There's no need for them to have a bad time.

Really, there's never a need to be rude or make people not enjoy a game just so you get a little more out of it. If bm were punishable, I'd go for it.

How is every match being delayed half an hour by killer? The only way that can happen is if the survivors are hiding excessively and not doing their objective at all.

This is true, a half hour match should be impossible even if they did a slug race across the entire map :)

Maybe op was exaggerating for effect.

Now I kinda want to slug race across Badham…
