Franklin's Demise change
Survivors drop items upon being downed, instead of by being M1'd. It makes more sense and is less of a complete item shutdown but still functions as an anti-item perk.

Does it still lose charges though?

Franklins should honestly just disable your item for like a minute and take a quarter of the charge each hit. Making survivors drop and then have to find their item is just obnoxious. Hell id be fine if they added aura to it as well if say you have successfully disabled an item each hit. Just please stop making me drop it.

Yes.

Yeah, I like this change, it would be way less annoying for Survivors, and m2 Killers would be able to use it!
Also it would be funny if someone with Plot-Twist used it and their item would drop hehe.

Franklin should change it because it is very painful that the moment he faces a party that uses VC, the effect of reducing the amount of the gauge is practically gone. It is common to see the act of "mysteriously" placing medikits and toolboxes around the gen, etc. to make it a strategic base the moment someone attacks one of them after the match has started.

This does synergise with Bubba himself a little more to be fair… though of course he has an add-on that knocks items out of hands with his chainsaw, so that's kinda a moot point.
It also does open up the likes of Hillbilly, Blight, Nurse, etc to use it to knock medkits out of hands and force people to group up to heal, which is something I don't feel like is needed on those killers.
and is less of a complete item shutdown
I'd have to say, this is kinda the point of the perk is it not? To have a means of shutting down medkits and flashlights, as well as toolbox replenishment builds? It isn't even particularly strong, what is the point/identity of the perk if it doesn't do this?
EDIT: If the goal is to combat the Weave Attunment combo, it is already being touched.
If the goal is to reduce the annoyance of losing the item, the only thing I could think of is something like after getting hit by an M1, the survivor is affected for 3 minutes after being hit by a basic attack. The survivor is incapacitated while they hold an item. This would be a callback to Franklin where he is constantly frustrated by not being able to do things due to his disabilities. This would mean as a survivor you get to keep your item, but you can't heal or flashlight, or do anything productive like repair gens whilstsoever you hold an item.

I love how people think making a survivor drop their item and losing all its charges aint a problem and we have no right to complain but am sure if we get a perk that disable killers add on or power for even 5 seconds its a big issue right? Hyprocrisy at its finest.

Power =/= item
