It's a pain to wait 3-5 minutes when you know you've already lost.

It would be nice if when the first afk crow comes out you could just ######### so you don't waste any more time.

For the killer, make the suicide count as if he had gotten hooked, for the challenges and bloopoints.

Agreed. I've seen a good suggestion for a "pick self up ritual" where a survivor can crawl directly under a working hook and pick themselves up, but good luck indicating that this is a feature to players with a UI element. A simple "bleed out faster" or give up if you're slugged as one of two would be nice.

This is a result of the terrible hatch mechanic that essentially puts the game in a coin flip. If you are a killer and going for a 4k (adept for example) it is better to maximize your chances by slugging and not relying on a random hatch to get the fourth kill.

Why does it have to be killer sided? Basekit unbreakable can solve this

Simple answer, if the survivors have been steamrolled where they can't do gens and can't open the exit then they have clearly been out matches and lost. Why does it have to be survivor sided? Another chance after they already lost? Why stop there? Give them a 3rd chance if they fail at getting to the hatch...chance after chance fail after fail lol

It's the killers who have chance after chance…. Survivors can completely dominate not getting hooked even once, but then get 4k'd at the gate. Survivors should at least still have the curtesy of being allowed the same chance. Otherwise it fails to be a game and instead just turns into an ego boosting simulator for killers.

I honestly don't know how 4 survivors are getting killed at the gate lol if they are healed, that's 8 hits to down them all. If they are not healed then maybe that's the issue... Should heal before rushing to the gate. Unless it's noed...in that case sure have the hatch as a perk like the killer has to for noed.

It's easier than you think, get one hook at the end and you can often lure them all in. There are dozens of video's of killers doing exactly that with more then a few perk's besides noed to further buff a killers endgame potential. Just heal before rushing the gate is just a copout to the point above. The killer's gonna do the best he can to stop that and isn't always possible.

What youre describing is the normal gameplay loop, If that works then its not an extra chance but a really bad misplay by the survs. They could just walk out the finish line but it seems a 4E is more important than just winning.

Ye that does sound like survivors who are at the gate want the 4 escape… if they want to risk it all to get everyone out that's up to them but they do have the opportunity to win. It's not a copout to play smart and heal up if everyone is injured. These are survivor errors it's not handing the killer a free win at the end via game mechanic. Even if the killer gets 1 sacrifice and the rest of the team gets out that's still a loss for the killer.

That was just one example not the rule, you're acting like that's gonna be the case every time. That's just one way to get the 4k at the end, not the only way. It is a copout to just say heal up if injured. The killer is still actively hunting you down and wont always be possible.

There are 2 exits, if all survivors are at the same exit it's still a miss play on the survivors part that could potentially result in 4k which could be avoided if they played more tactical.

You mean bleed out for the hatch for the other guys? Hmm yeah I can agree to that. maybe after 15 seconds, yeah.

add it to the tutorial, or help tips (I think DBD does have help tip pop up’s for fresh accounts, I might be wrong). It’s not supposed to be an obvious mechanic, because it’s not a frequent occurrence.
Or, the fully recovered statement “seek help”

Could become “seek help ;survivor Icon, or risk a bargain (hook Icon)”

No it’s not - it’s a result of the terrible game design that makes completing the objective impossible at certain times resulting in survivors giving up even trying to engage in it. That’s what needs addressing - the game should be proportionate.

Thinking on this, I would prefer a variation of this mechanic where the survivor could crawl under a hook and pull themselves up the post and put themselves on the hook. Let the survivor choose between not losing a hook state but being slugged for who knows how long or getting off the ground but losing a hook state or dying. It gives them some autonomy, and it's similar to a bleed-out-faster option but a bit more interesting.

Plus I really just want to see the animation of a survivor hooking themselves, now.
