New game mode suggestion

I've recently been thinking about what DBD was like "back in the day" and saw a video on youtube posted by Hens who went back in time and played DBD original release and got me thinking how fun it could be to play these older version of the game for a few games.

I would love to see this as a game mode. DBD Old School mode where we step back in time and play an older version of the game.
Now of course I know that the old version can't just be plonked into the current version but what can be done is the old version of perks, maps and map effects (like the fog OMG the fog) as similar things are done for the previous game modes we have seen (2v8 and lights out).

Please BHVR I think it would be great for 2 reasons.
Firstly it would just be very fun to play the OG version of this game and Secondly It would really put in perspective just how stupid some complaints these days are regarding issues with the game.

    I think the main game has changed so much it would be too incompatible, it would also require loads of work to make it safe due to hackers knowing the older codes better than the new, the question then is… How many people would find this version funny for how long? and Is it worth it in order to give people a new perspective on issues regarding the game?

    Remember when survivor queues were 15+ minutes at night? Why would you want to go back to that?

    I wouldn't be against this, but I'd like to see a return to a specific update. Specifically, the one where the game broke and Chainsaw Myers existed.

    there is a huge ongoing hacker issue in this game (as sad as it is: a very few people are even aware of it) and with this specific game mode it would be even worse.

    The priority should be addressed elsewhere first.
    But who am I talking to here…? Most people dropped out after the first half of the sentence anyway and bought a new skin or DLC instead.

    The incompatibility is why i suggested that instead of just plonking the old game in a new game mode would have old versions of maps and old versions of perks. They re-made these for 2v8 so its not out of the range of possibility to assume they can't do it for this.

    I think everyone missed the point it would be a new game mode built from scratch using old content. No old code, no old vulnerabilities that the old versions had it would be basicly Old School DBD HD remake so to speak.

    As for how long people would play it for. maybe not long but for a 1 or 2 week game mode it wouldn't really matter
