Players deserve some compensation for server crashes

I've been disconnected at least a dozen games during the 2v8 event due to server crashes. US eastern time zone. It's super frustrating, especially when you've waited 10-15 minutes in a killer queue just to have your match terminated due to crappy servers that can't handle the load and nothing to show for your 30+ minutes of wasted time. I'm sure BHVR has the data for how many times each player has been booted by the servers during the event. The right thing to do would be to give people some shards for each time they were disconnected during the event. I don't know what the "right" number is, but at least something to compensate players for all the time they wasted in matches.

    Dead by Daylight is the only online game I play where I have to worry about the game crashing AND getting hit with a dc penalty for something I didn't even do. That's why, when I was playing 2vs8 tonight and it crashed on me, I just left the game and played something else. To me, it's just not worth it to continue playing it on a night it starts acting buggy. I don't want to get hit with stiffer and stiffer punishments. If they're gonna do dc penalties, they really need to be able to identify whether someone left a game because they wanted to, if they were forcibly kicked.

    I shouldn't have to take a break from the game to try and head off a dc penalty. Like, yeah, give me bloodpoints, bp, something.

    If something of no value appeases you for a perceived waste of time you have much bigger problems than said lost time.

    Bigger problems than let's say…someone who goes out of their way to, with no provocation whatsoever, in response to a very benign and non-controversial topic, personally attack random people they don't know on a niche video game forum?

    You can buy skins and some DLC with shards, so I guess if you don't find any value in that then hey good for you. Not sure why you are so personally offended by people that do find value in that stuff. I'd rather use shards than spend actual $ on the content.

    I feel like if the dedicated server stops responding everyone should be given a flat BP amount, coz sometimes I feel like I've been robbed yeah

    They need to remove the DC penalty when you're kicked thanks to issues on BHVRs side. I understand having a penalty if there's internet connection issues on my side - I can call my provider and work with them to fix it. There is NOTHING I can do when the issue is on BHVRs side due to their servers. The error messages even say it's a dedicated server issue - they can code it so the server issue error message is exempt from the DC penalty, as well as code in a BP/Shard compensation for the inconvenience. If server issues are THAT frequent that coding in compensation when it happens would be giving away too much BP/shards then I think they should probably move server issues up the priority list.

    I don't get DC penalties if the server kicks me out of the game, so I think that issue is already resolved. Now they need to focus on fixing the constant server issues.
