"Cursed" Addons (DBD Concept)
I would personally love to see the addition of "Cursed" addons, or addons that affect various items or Killer powers that change how they function but do not consume the addons upon use. I want them to function similar to meme addons, in the sense that they change how the item or Killer is played completely, but they dont sacrifice too much of the functionality and opt into alternative playstyles and variety.
Medkit's Cursed Addon ~ "Glowing Syringe"
- This addon is not consumed.
- Removes the ability to self-heal with a Medkit.
- Increased healing speed of other players by +50%.
- Increased the frequency of Blood Pools left behind while carrying the item this addon is equipped to.
- "The supplies within this Medkit… it's not bound to me, I cant use it, it only burns my skin."
Toolbox's Cursed Addon ~ "Scorched Blueprint"
- This addon is not consumed.
- Removes the ability to repair with a Toolbox.
- Removes the ability to sabotage with a Toolbox.
- Toolbox can be used on intractable objects (Chests, Hex/Dull Totems, Exit Gates, etc.) to increase their action speed (based on the Toolbox's repair speed).
- "The marking on the paper were beyond your comprehension, but it started to glow near the Killer's belongings."
Map's Cursed Addon ~ "Tattered Binding"
- This addon is not consumed.
- Removes the ability to channel Aura Reading.
- Consumes 25% of all charges upon vaulting a Window or Pallet.
- You vault Windows 10% faster while carrying this items.
- If all Charges are consumed while you are carrying this item, you will lose a Health State. This effect can put you in the Dying State if injured. After this effect procs, the item is destroyed.
- "The map guides me forwards, I have to keep running, even if the red-stain continues to trail me."
A similar concept can be applied to Killer power addons, and can be used as a way to supplement meme addons or addons that provide alternative playstyles.

I love when mechanics are added that open up new perks. My favorite is the obsession mechanic by far the best perk mechanic they ever had. Lots of my favorite perks exist becsuse of the obsession. I just wish other mechanics were as successful. My 2nd favorite are scourge hooks. It allows for stronger effects with more risk or dependence on a 2nd perk to get consistent value. I always thought that was a interesting perk type idea a perk that requires 2 slots but has a strong effect. There are plenty of failed types that aren’t strong like boons, hexes, invocations, and teamwork perks. I want them to Revisit these perk types and make them good or add something else. Something like the obsession or hex totems

Part of this idea was inspired by old Tinkerer and existing meme addons.
I think it would be a cool idea of bringing back a perk that affects addons but the issue is a lot of Killer powers are not designed with such things in mind, creating specific addons that alter the way a power is used can open the door for perks that affect addons again, but it is much more controlled since it would only affect Cursed addons.
I think this idea can open the door for new playstyles that were not there before or create more diverse build opportunities.

they are not going do that. they'd create add-on in med-kit that increase healing altruistic speed by 50%. The toolbox would be a map add-on that gives cleansing speed for holding the map. The map add-on would be a key add-on that increases vaulting speed by 10% for holding the key.
Will they ever add these effect on items? Maybe but likely not because they haven't added these new effect in long time.
