"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
They're bugs. Games have bugs. They'll get fixed.

It's really funny that you truly believe that it's skin's feature and not just a bug.

The game went 8 years without it happening, then it happened twice in a span of roughtly half a year: Both times to things mostly/exclusively available to players who pay real money AND not being adressed in a short time period AND by a company everyone knows only cares about the game from a financial perspective.

Claiming that bhvr did this on purpose is really hilarious.

Yes, so if they don't have a history of attaching benefits to skins (and the one example you've mentioned - Huntress - was a bug and fixed), then common sense says this is also a bug.

They didnt have a history of this happening as a bug either. I believe the Wereelk genuinely was a bug and then decided to repeat this mistake because they realised how much money they could make. It fits with their pre planned release structure that if they decided it half a year ago it fits in.
100% this is going to stay in the game over the holidays. If it doesn't, I'll delete this post and change my mind.

Here is a question:
When does a bug stop being a bug and instead a short-term profit opportunity? You might not fathom it, but some people would buy a skin to have some unfair advantage, even if for a short while. I wonder, if it is this impactful, why isn't the killer/survivor associated with that skin Kill-Switched?2 -
Did you ever think about the idea that they could just have changed something about their way how they are programming skins? They upgraded their skins in terms of uniqueness quite a bit the last 1-2 years, because of that they are surely trying a lot of things out regarding the way to program that, so I'm not surprised in the slightest it's only happening now. If you really think of the fact that those better made skins only exist 1-2 years now and they probably try a lot of things with them, and still only 2 skins were that bugged, they actually more likely have my respect.

They can do only so much before the holidays cut them some slack.

they just released one of the buggiest killers ever with practically 0 marketing, they've always had random audio problems in their game, baermar & aestri are a very unique character pair on a technical level (notice that the bugged skin in question shows aestri's portrait…hmmmmmm), the event has a lot of bugs too, and your first thought is "wow they made this skin silent on purpose"? instead of "wow BHVR really dropped the quality ball this time for some reason"?

That skin was bugged. It wasn't supposed to be a pay to win skin at all.
Are the "pay to win skin users" in the room with us right now?
