flashbangs are still silent
SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: flashbang drops have been silent for months and are still not included as "known issues"

Can also confirm they're still not making any sound. Seems like sound is completely muted when they're dropped behind a wall often resulting in the killer turning a corner and instantly getting blinded without warning.

Yes, I can confirm that it is still not doing its characteristic noise when the flashbang is dropped on the ground, it happened to me today. The survivor dropped the flashbang right in front of me and I didn't hear any noise.

Can confirm as well, though without footage.
When playing Survivor and dropping a Winter Party Starter, it makes no sound at all (it should make some kind of sizzling sound before exploding). I'll try to record some footage tomorrow and add it here.7 -
I have recorded two instances of the Winter Party Starter making no sound at all when dropped. Once out of a chase, and once in a chase.

I believe there's plenty of info already. Nothing was changed about the bug in 8.4.2. Should be under review by now.

The "overriding" sound bug, that has been happening for months, is still happening too. Killers used to be able to easily hear survivor footsteps from behind a wall, while the chase music is playing. But now many of the killers have chase music that just completely deletes the footstep noises, even when I'm blasting my headphones at max volume.
And this has happened for months too. And there was a bug report months ago, but it was under review for a while, and now it has disappeared.

Audio occlusion is a hot mess rn.

Winter fire crackers are doing it too, I dropped one in a round today and got no hiss, just a bang and a blind.
This isn't the only audio occlusion error, some Killer sounds are messed up. I'm not hearing Ghostface's shifting straps for example (which although funny and beneficial to me as a Ghostface player isn't fair and should be fixed, they should be soft but not that soft) and many Survivors have for a while now had much softer breathing, footsteps, etc. Please normalize Killer and Survivor audio so there are no unfair advantages.

Sometimes vaults are not making noise either, nor is getting into lockers or checking them, and no the players are not running perks to silence these.

@Mandy How is this not kill switched yet? It's easily reproducible, happens most of the time, and creates situations where the killer has zero counterplay to even the most poorly-timed flashbangs unless the killer looks up every time they pick up someone or goes around a corner.

If this was an killer exploit like the flashbangs are silent still (As is survivors footsteps also silent)

They would of kill switched it asap like they do if instantly a problem for killer.
(Remember how long the gen bug was around for so survivors got a free gen done? For weeks and we had to suffer while they had an ball)Yet it’s fine for the survivor role can exploit bugs like this and it will remain broken for months.

Umm lies because you must have forgot how long they took to fix huntress lullaby perk and merciless storm perk. There was even a bug on iron will even when it was 100% and someone heals you or healing yourself, you still make a grunt at the end of the heal and this happen during sadako release and it took them till the release of lara croft chapter to fix it. Spirit still aint fix with her audio husk phase sounds either so they can abuse that.
