Be careful with this feature

I'm talking about that "get preference to find a killer match if you play as survivor in 2v8" thing from the survey, it's very semelhant to something we had in overwatch 1 back in the days, it was called "ticket" or something like that, I wasn't really a competitive player but i heard that it caused more problems than it fixed in the queue times if I'm not mistaken, so think 2 times before doing something with this concept

    I don't care what they add to 2v8 - nothing will make me play it again because none of the Killers I like are in it or ever will be, and I just don't want to play watered down DBD where everyone is turbobuffed.

    how do you even know which killers will never be added to 2v8?

    We just know that licensed killers may need additional approval by the license holder…

    It absolutely did cause problems. There's really no getting around the stereotype that DPS was the role that had the biggest need for passes basically at all times, so you'd have high rank DPS players pick the most "dps-like" tanks/supports and just pretend they're the 3rd dps on the team no matter if it screws everyone else over. And that's if they even cared, you got more passes for winning but you still got them for losing so they could just not even care at all and still get what they wanted, just put in enough apparent effort to not get banned for straight up griefing/throwing.

    And with time, it doesn't really help queue times that much either. Because having the pass becomes standard, like the sorta-meme of a theme park having a premium line-skip pass, then a premium-premium line skip pass because even the premium line gets long.

    In DBD taking this to its logical conclusion leads to an obvious result. Want a killer pass? Hop on survivor, load in and just try to be killed as fast as humanly possible. Make it require BP earned or even escaping and people find ways to try to optimize that, AND you run into the issue of perfectly honest players potentially getting frustrated at unlucky games for missing out on a pass.

    Survivor in 2v8 bores me, I promise I'd throw every round just to get a chance to play Killer as the Killer I want.

    I do not enjoy this mode enough to want to suffer through a stripped down version of the game JUST to play in a reasonable amount of time.

    Frankly I'm not holding my breath on being able to play Myers, Pinhead, Pig, Sadako, or Nemesis in the mode any time soon. Maybe Ghostface. Definitely Dredge.

    Depending on how previous questions are answered you might not get the same set of questions. I honestly can't see 2v8 being permanent but maybe it can be made the event mode so like anime Chill, Haunted by Daylight, Blood Moon etc.

    They just need it to be something like get 1 or 2 escapes = "killer pass". Which is a shortcut in queue times.

    If it took 1 or 2 escapes, that would at least make people try a bit more and earn it.

    The fastest way to kill any game is to provide instant gratification and overly casualize the game even if just a game mode. People generally will always take the easiest fastest gratification option. It ends up killing the quality of the standard game.

    This doesn't have anything to do with "instant gratification".

    I'd argue that the actual fastest way to kill a game is to make it impossible to play the game in the first place.
