Chest Spawns Are Breaking Killer Item Spawns

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:
Chests and killer items use the same spawn locations and when maps are being generated, the chests are being spawned in first. This means killers who have interactive items that need to be by generators such as Sadako to push condemn and Xenomorph/Alien to pressure generators end up having their TV's/Turret Stations spawning great distances away from generators. Especially when offerings that increase the number of chests get used such as the anniversary cobbler and the new winter mistle toes, rendering the killer items completely useless and the killers unplayable when this happens. This is especially noticable when playing these newer events because everyone is running the offerings which spawn and extra chest since they also have bloodpoint incentives.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
Load into a map where multiple chest offerings are being used and look at the placement of TV's/Turret stations comparative to generators. Alternatively, load in on any of the swamp maps with and without a cut coin and without the coin you will never have a killer item spawn near the main building whereas with the cut coin (removes all chests except basement) you will always have a killer item spawn in the main building.

    This also happened to me while playing Xenomorph.
    Especially during events, it is pretty frustrating and causes me to not play these killers.

    Every single event/offering that increase chest spawns has been so obnoxious

    As sadako I got a map where 3 tvs were in the far corner of the map with no gens spawns at all

    I’ve played sadako since release, and I always have been confused why my tv placements were nowhere near the gens, now i know why. This needs to be fixed

    Play a fair bit of xenomorph, and I have had a lot of frustrations playing him during the events and against players with the anniversary offerings causing my turrets to spawn in useless areas at the edge of the map and denying half my power, I'm glad to know the cause of this issue now, hoping to see it fixed soon

    It's nasty on the Survivor side as well. Survivors are supposed to have access to turrets vs the Xenomorph but, with the current chest placement system, most of the turret dispensers can end up in outer Narnia if +chest offerings are in play.

    Yep, playing killers that rely on items spawning are nearly unplayable during events with more chest spawns. Having all your TV, stations and plague fountains etc either on the edge of the map or bunched together in one area is just game breaking for that killer.

    Give spawn priority to killer items over chests!

    Ive encountered this as well (xeno). Not SO horribly that I thought there was a bug going on, but enough for me to question what was happening.

    Side note for all who read, xeno’s acidic blood add-on straigh up doesnt work. Ive tried it multiple times for MONTHS and it doesnt work.

    I really hope BHVR fixes this soon. I really like Xenomorph but my boy's quickly dropping down the tier lists, he needs some love :(

    Even if this isnt a bug and its working as intended, I still think Killers who has things that spawn in those spots would appreciate the object they teleport to have priority for prime near gen locations before chests are spawned in so that they may not be reduced in efficiency, like a Dredge on swamp…

    Yeah, I avoided playing Sadako at all during the event because this was so frustrating to deal with. I know it is not technically a "bug", it is working as intended and it was designed this way, but it became a flawed system after killer power spawns were introduced and a possible oversight by the devs and should be adressed sooner rather than later, because chests are being more prevalent in the matches now more than ever, so situations that were very uncommon are happening often enough to be VERY frustrating. The game is being pushed in this direction(chests having a bit more presence) by events and perks, so this issue is only going to get worse if ignored for longer. Hopefully it won't take many months… Or years…
