Totem spawns are horrible

Please Behaviour just make it so totems cant spawn around gens and chests in a 24 meter radious! 🤞

Ever since i started using hexes i've been srewed over, SO many times by their spawn location that i lost count.

and i cant even post proof here :''''(

The thing is i wanna use hexes cause they are fun, but when they are getting cleansed at 5/4 gens its just gut wrenching.

    The problem is, space

    This idea was approached in earlier days, but when you consider the fact most generators spawn 15-30m from eachother, gens and chest spawn in most main buildings it becomes hard for x5 totems to have good spots.

    The results were

    1- They spawned in the open, since to many main buildings or side places were occupied, totems were forced into the open

    2- Totems literally spawned where the survivors spawned, as the spots for where the totem could spawn were so limited

    3- the totems spawn on the edge of the map.

    You could argue to increase map size, but there are so many factors that im not bringing it up

    All of these issues are still present in current times but its MUCH less. The struggle of running a hex build and seeing it actually get demolished within 10 seconds or never found at all was truly a experience

    Just no, there is not a map, where I wouldn't be able to find at least 20 decent spawn options.

    But they put it right next to the generator, , or middle of nowhere. That has nothing to do with map size.

    This is why I love Detective's Hunch and Inner Strength. If it glows it goes! I will agree that totem placements could always use tweaking, but as they squeeze maps it forces gens and totems closer together. Still they could do better in this regard.

    Survs that are much better than me tend to ignore hex's until Devour pops anyway.

    They should just make it so the hex totems are not next to where the survivors spawn. I remember a video from Otz where he played Lethal Pursuer and two hexes and he just saw how both totems were literally in the survivors face and they were cleansed before Otz could make it over there. Absolutely ridiculous stuff if you're asking me.

    I know hexes are supposed to be high risk high reward but that's just completely unfair if the hexes are not even hidden in any way

    I think alot of people forget even good totem spawns don't matter cause they're easily pinpointable with loud crackling which is super easy to hear with any headset.

    It's much less noticable over here on the couch through the speakers on the old TV
