Please consider this small suggestion to amend slugging for moris. PLEASE READ BHVR, PLEEEEASE

SUGGESTION:
Make the last survivor mori-able only if they were not in the dying state when the hatch spawns/when they become the only survivor left. This will discourage slugging for moris.
REASONING:
Ever since yellow mori became basekit, I've seen quite a few killers slug the last person, waiting over a survivor they want to mori, waiting until other survivors die on hook or bleed out.
This is really miserable to experience, and feels like being kicked when you're already down. there's nothing you can do, as the survivor, to prevent it, you just have to wait. Even with unbreakable they'll just down you immediately and continue waiting until they can mori - there's no counterplay except predicting where hatch would spawn and spamming the button. This is not a healthy game mechanic, and it's incredibly frustrating to experience. Please consider this suggestion Bhvr. Being slugged for up to 4 minutes is frustrating enough, but when the mori starts, it's just that much more frustrating - and if hatch spawned nearby and you get morid right next to it, it's beyond frustrating. In the first match I played in the last 2 weeks, I was left on the ground for 3.5 minutes for this, and I immediately turned the game off and I don't intend on playing again until something is done about that. I'M BEGGING YOU, PLEASE.

The reason killers slug for the 4K is because of how hatch works. If you really want to address slugging for the 4K, you have to change Hatch away from an RNG escape for the last survivor.

I mean permanently as well - the killer shouldn't be able to bypass this by picking up and dropping you repeatedly, then chasing, downing, and then being able to mori.
Alternatively, make anyone who has been on the ground for more than 30 seconds un-moriable by the basekit mori. There's so many ways to keep the basekit mori without encouraging slugging.

This post isn't about slugging for a 4K.
I had a game where I was crawling towards the killer for 3.5 minutes trying to get him to hook me so I could move on to the next match, but he wouldn't because he wanted a mori.
Regarding slugging though, there are many reasons that players slug besides hatch mechanics. I would love a solution for slugging, but this post isn't about addressing slugging as a whole, just slugging for moris

ive always thought the hatch should spawn after a time period that only 2 survs have been alive. Give the killer their time to close out the game, but i mean if 15 minutes roll by and nothing happens what are we doing here. If all 5 gens dont get completed and they escape from hatch the killer won imo. The other option that is just so obvious that it should exist; but for some possible reason that nobody understands doesn't exist, would be the option in the 2v1 to "let yourself go" immediately when downed and go next game. This fixes the problem for everyone and lets the game work the way it should.

It was slugging, but he already had achieved the 4K. He could've hooked me easily, he knew where I was. The issue I have was that he didn't simply hook me, and the reason was that he didn't just want a 4K, he wanted a mori. He wasn't slugging for a 4K, he was slugging for a mori. Do you understand what I'm saying now?
This post is about slugging for moris, not slugging for 4Ks.

I should clarify that this was while the 2nd last survivor was on hook. For some reason he wouldn't take chances, and he struggled, so I was waiting for an extra long time. Once the other survivor reached struggle phase, the 4K is guaranteed. Yet he continued to slug for the mori. Do you see what I'm saying now?

If you want to fix that, all you need to do is allow the mori to happen when all other survivors are either dead, slugged, or hooked instead of just when all other survivors are dead.

The suggestion I made in this post though would resolve it in a less one-sided way though without encouraging slugging. Your suggestion would encourage slugging for moris as well as slugging for 4Ks and removing a lot of chances of counterplay with anti slugging perks like unbreakable.

It's called the finisher mori. If everyone else in the trial is unable to progress the game, then the killer should just be allowed to initiate the mori and end the game there.
Instead of punishing killers for winning, we should just make the finisher mori not require wasting time in the first place.

It doesn't take a lot of skill getting 4Ks by relying on slugging unless you're against a highly coordinated SWF. I do not think the killer should be rewarded for low-skill plays, especially if it involves (and even encourages) making the game that much less fun for other players.

Both of those sound decent. They wouldn't be perfect solutions to what op is talking about but they would help with it. And they might be solid answers to slugging for 4k (though I haven't thought yet about any negative repercussions).

They will slug either way because they dont want to mess with the hook system even Trutalent admits that.
