Initialization error or no network connection
SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: I try and log on and I get initialization error or no network connection. It says saved game error and says error code :0. I haven’t been able to log on all morning.
PLATFORM: ps5
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: my internet is working fine . My PlayStation premium is active . I can’t get into the game . This has happened in the past and usually I can get in after trying a few times but not today!

still unable to get on dbd. It’s been 3 more hours and still having the same problem. I’m in north Texas. None of my friends are online either . Is this going to be fixed? This has been going on since this morning.

Just tried logging in on Nintendo Switch and also got the same initialization error and then another error stating my version of the game was not valid and to update - checked for updates, and there are none. Tried to then log in 4 times after completely closing the game out each time, and receiving the same initialization error each time.

Same here! For hours now! And I'm sad I didn't get to stream today because of it. I'm on PS4 with active subscription.. and good internet.
I hope it can be fixed by time I wake up.

Guys, so i used my phones hotspot and it let me play, i have spectrum. Im assuming its something to do with the internet but even then how do we fix that?

I’m about to make another bug report but I’m having the same issue. I also have Spectrum as an internet provider. Haven’t been able to play DBD in nearly a week. It’s the ONLY game I can’t play.

I’m in central Texas and have the same issue. Works on my hotspot but not my home network through Spectrum. I have done ALL the troubleshooting. When will this be fixed?!

Guys i called Spectrum and supposedly some error occurred between my router and DBDs server causing it to no longer recognize my routers IP Address. Tomorrow ima go to Spectrum and swap out my router to see if that works, if not we're going to have to switch Internet providers if we want to play DBD.

Man, I would wait a little bit more because I think this is a issue with their servers in general (I'm from Brazil) like, there's no way multiple providers had the same error on the same day on the same "game" you know? :/

@RFSa09 I have spectrum as well, living in Texas. I got a new router and a new modem yesterday and it still isn’t working. It’s very odd that it’s so intermittent. It’s not happening to everyone but just a few and no one can seem to figure out why or how to fix it.

I am in Central TX with Spectrum as well and I cannot log into DBD on either of the 2 PS5s we have in our household. However I can log into it on my PC just fine on our wifi and when I use my Hotspot on my phone I can also sign in on my console.

So I tried using my hotspot on my phone and can confirm it works. I’ve done everything else everyone has suggested for my PS5 with no luck. Are we all just screwed now? Spectrum isn’t going to help us. It’s going to have to come from BHVR. It seems odd to me that I can access literally any other game but DBD. I’m no fan of spectrum but come on….. it has to be something BHVR can fix.

we've been having this issue for about a week and BHVR has not addressed it other than saying its an "Internet problem"'. That means they are not going to be much help with this. If they are then its going to be a while, how long are you willing to wait?

GUYS! IT WORKED! I switched routers and updated to the new Wifi 7 Router with Spectrum and it let me log in to DBD. I'll keep you guys updated, ima see if it lets me play a few matches before closing the application and try to log in again to test if i get the error code or not. But so far so good.
EDIT: I played 1 match and afterwards got the No Internet Connection error booting me to the log in menu. I tried logging in and kept getting the No Internet Connection/Initialization Error. I dont know what to do now.

yeah nevermind, i played 1 match and after that i got a No Network Connection error that sent me back to the log in and wouldnt let me log in after that. The Errors are still there. Dream short lived. I dont know what to do now.

I also logged in for a few matches but it kicked me back, this problem happened to some people in October 2024, but now we now that it's on bhvr at least

Someone in my report told me to try changing my PS5s IP to static and port forward. I won’t be logging on again tonight to try so I wanted to leave it here in case anyone else has the chance to give it a shot.

been having this issue for almost 5 days. I’m not sure what or how it got triggered. The last time I played with no issues was on my PlayStation Portal and the only way I am able to play with no issues is like many have said is using their phone as a hotspot which is crazy. this is the only game the console has issues with.

This is also happening to me. I am in Austin TX. Using PS5. This started on January 4th at around 3am I was waiting to get into a match and upgrading my characters bloodweb when it kicked me out. Then I couldn't get back in ever since. 1 time I almost got in on the 6th but all it had was loading symbols on everything and wouldn't let me play. I CAN get in and play on my XBOX which is connected to the same router and modem without any problems.

+1 on this. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. Austin… Spectrum… PS5… Jan 4! Can play with my phone's hotspot. Can play on PC. It all makes sense. I bought a brand new router and modem yesterday and was able to play one game before it errored out. Sony didn't have answers. Spectrum didn't have answers. BHVR support didn't have answers either [though they are very nice].

Then we can only hope that BHVR can come up with a solution for this. But if BVHR is saying that its a problem with our ISP i dont know if theres anything they can do from their end :(

I had a long discussion about this with Chatgpt the other day. It had something to do with IP flushing in command prompt. Cant recall exactly but tell it your problems and then add flush ip command prompt worked before and perhaps it will take you back there.

Sorry to hear about this misfortune though it really sucks. I had to spend hours , tried to reinstall game and everything but the core of the problem was the internet i used. I got 3 different ones so while 1 was not working the other one was while both were " working" it wasnt until i flushed ips that it actually started to work again. try connecting with hotspot if you havent tried.0
