Would it be the end of the world if the pig got a smaller terror radius?

I think all modern killers should be standard 32 ( or more like wesker ) since they design these new killers with modern players. The old killers are always falling behind and being left in the D/F tier because of their power being developed in a simpler time in dbd. It’s common to see Myers, Pig, ghostface, current Freddy, trapper and skull merchant ( tho they killed her on purpose ) on f tier. Myers got a stalk buff which makes him get to tier 3 faster and more often but didn’t do anything else thus still in d tier. He already has a terror radius of 16 and he is still bad but has to hold w half a less during tier 2 than other killers. Ghost face doesn’t benefit from having a smaller terror radius since he has on demand undetectable. This leaves the pig who is probably the only killer in the game that makes sense to lower her terror radius. Her ambush is unreliable, lets out a lion noise and has a small distance. So having a 24 meter terror radius wouldn’t make her ambush broken. She has on demand stealth but crouches slowly so being undetectable all game like ghosts face is not realistic. Having a smaller terror radius on her would just make the pre run hold w less annoying to go against. Ik a very long time ago she had a smaller terror radius and they changed it for some reason but I think it’s time it’s reverted.

Yes, and bring back 24m-TR Deathslinger while we're at it. Ah, the good ol' days.

Personally, I think all killers who can move onto you quickly need the Weskar TR: Blight, Nurse, maybe even Hillbilly.

I cant understand why bHVR the ambush be absolutely awesome to use when you have Workshop Grease and Last Will, but almost unbareably useless without those addons. Maybe BHVR knows something I don't in the stats, but it seems they have created a bottleneck with her addons for me, because I will always use Workshop Grease and Last Will on Pig before any other of her other addons.

I pray every night that they change those addons and make increase the Movement speed during the Ambush Dash Attack by +6 % to her base kit, that would solve her for me it, at least until they have the time to give her a proper addon pass to really improve her.

The Addon Bottleneck Problem in Dead by Daylight occurs when two addons—either powerful outside of low rarity types or simply too fun—dominate both gameplay and skill level for a player. This forces players to rely on these addons while limiting the use of others. As a result, variety is reduced, strategies become predictable, and experimentation with the Killer’s other addons is discouraged, making the experience feel addon-reliant, repetitive, and lacking in diversity.

In some cases decreasing the Terror Radius size can be a nerf.

For Pig, they can make amazing use of Infectious Fright with their current Terror Radius size, and decreasing the Terror Radius size would nerf her ability to defend Jigsaw Boxes. It also nerfs a lot of other perks that benefit from the Terror Radius.

In the same boat, however, it would be a buff to her stealth allowing players to use Whispers to tell if a Survivor is close by and then use stealth to close the distance without the Survivor ever realizing. It could help her get easier hits and downs as a result, which helps her since she has really weak chase potential compared to other Killers.

I really dont know what side of the fence I sit on since both are appealing.

I kind of disagree with this since it opens up Deathslinger to use Starstruck or other Terror Radius perks, and considering how strong his anti-loop is, I rather not lose the perk potential in favor of stealth; especially when ADS'ing as Deathslinger notifies the Survivors that they are being aimed at, which kills the "Stealth ADS" playstyle/addons.

Generally speak for balancing reasons as well, Deathslinger being this way is more beneficial to the game as a whole. Stealthslinger was only good against new/less-experienced players and/or SoloQ players, the increased Terror Radius moves them away from being a "pub-stomper".

It's probably because they don't want Ambush to be amazing AND have you run Timer/Gears (or double gears) at the same time. You either have to pick between buffed traps or buffed ambush.

Then they should rebalance those, not gatekeep good gameplay behind specific addons. Addons are supposed to make slight adjustments to the power, not enable their viability, they should be viable at base kit.

I keep seeing people talk about a notable cue when Slinger aims at them, but I've never noticed it when playing against him myself. What exactly is it?

I wouldn't mind giving her back her old 28m terror radius like she used to have.

There's supposed to be like a ringing sound when he aims at you, but it's actually bugged at the moment

There is a faint ringing you hear whenever the Deathslinger is aiming the Redeemer with a 45* area of you and you are within their Redeemer's range.

It's loud enough to hear when not in chase and the Killer has Undetectable (or you are not within their Terror Radius) but is quiet enough to be masked by chase music (meaning youll never hear it in a chase).

Some people think it is bugged, as far as Im aware, it isnt, the audio balancing was changed so you wont hear it in chase anymore which makes people think it is bugged.

I don't see why Stealthy Killers in general don't get smaller TRs. Would it hurt Sadako, Ghostface, or Wraith much to have their TRs be less outside of power since they're stealthy anyway?
