Agree or disagree. If you disagree your probably a survivor main and don’t see both sides.

Killers should go back to kicking gens infinite instead of 8 times and blocked by the entity? Wanna know why because if survivors can go back and tap gens infinite times then I feel like killers should kick gens infinite times. Also there’s times survivors 3 gen themselves and if I’m playing killer and protecting a 3 gen I feel like I should kick gens infinity instead of 8 times because survivors are gonna go back to the gens multiples times without no consequences. And it’s bad for killers that can’t kick gens no more than 8 times to me that’s not balanced and unfair. Meanwhile survivors are gonna be like oh he kicked it 8 times that means we can still get this gen done.

A decent three gen is an extremely strong position for the killer. The most recent time I had a close three gen, I turned a 1k into a 4k. There's no way I should be given more advantages in that situation by being able to regress gens infinitely. That would mean that I never need to progress the game and could instead just patrol the gens until server end time.
Edit: I have to admit that the survivors really could have taken the 1k and escaped, but when they went for the save, they gave me the chance to regress the gen they could have popped, put someone else on hook, and force a weaker position for them.

If they bring back gen tapping and reduce the basekit gen kick back to 2.5% how it was before.

Eh…
I think if something is being kicked at that amount the killer is … extremely bad at chase
I dont think I have ever got over like… 4 regress events … maybe 5? On a single gen; getting to 8 is really hard work and … I would agree with the devs kind of stalling the game.
Probably safe to keep the regress limit as well just for match times. Devs are doing anti-hiding logic as well, so it would be pretty consistent with this approach.2 -
You shouldn't need to kick the same gen more than 8 times to win the game. It's perfectly balanced in my opinion. If you're struggling with the 8 damage limit, the issue isn't the limit, it's your lack of ability to win chases efficiently.
I will say, however, that they should have compensated this change with a heal limit to survivors (maybe maximum of four heals per survivor) so that they cannot infinitely extend the game either.

thatd be interesting actually limit heals may prevent long games entirely

Ever since the 8-kick limit I've kinda been on a mission to try and force it whenever it remotely looked like there was a chance. I think so far I've never managed to force it. — Which tells me two things: 1) it achieves what it set out to achieve: that killers stop being hellbent on keeping a three gen. 2) That killer's don't need three gens cause otherwise it's impossible to win - because as far as I know killrates haven't dropped.
Should some perks / gen placements get a look at to prevent a jolt-eruption-overcharge-nth build from becoming useless if you happened to down several survivors in the same area? Sure, that might make sense. It's one thing to go out of your way to protect that gen and another if it's out of your hands cause "things in the match just happened to happen in that area". Tbh though, spreading gens would do wonders there.

You'd have to do something about hit-and-run then though; there are quite a few killers for who it's incredibly easy to get that first hit and this game is designed around having two health states, not one.

I disagree. I also take issue with the OP using the word 'tap,' given that survivors can't just tap the generator anymore. They now have to stay on the generator for a longer time period than they used to, which aids the killer in pressuring the survivor by returning to the generator and hitting them. Additionally, I have never genlocked a generator, so my perspective comes from a place of what I feel is fair gameplay.

This update came out around the same time they significantly weakened healing mechanics. For instance, Med-Kits were heavily nerfed, and Boon: Circle of Healing was effectively rendered far less impactful.

The thing is onryo is bad in chases I hit and run so for you to say killer has to chase and down someone immediately it’s not always a guaranteed thing because the amount of pallets and loops it wastes time so that’s why I hit and run and check on gens

Its hard to agree or disagree because you aren't including what you think should happen to the immediate 5% regression. Infinite kicks with the 5% regression each time seems like a bit too much, but maybe your thoughts are different? Im not sure, please elaborate.

I feel that you dont understand that the change was overall actually good for Killer. They traded something which does not really happen in regular gameplay (kicking Gens more than 8 times) against a Buff in Regression done by Kicks (5% instead of 2,5%) and the inability for Survivors to tap a Gen mid-chase to stop it regressing.
This was an overall win for Killer. The "compensation" they got was way better than what they lost (unless you played for 3-Gens from the start of a game and never intended to go into any chases).
So yeah, hard disagree to your post. I would agree if we reduce the Regression via Kicks to 2,5% and bring back Gentapping. And then I want to see how someone like you will argue.

Nah, games should not continue forever, if you as Killer cant manage to capture and kill 4 Survivors, in 8 hits to all 5 gens.
Then you are clearly too high mmr for the game your are in.1
