Opinions on Hillbilly?

Options

I'm asking this as of currently maining Billy, and after quite a few games today, I wanted to know how people felt about him. Survivors specifically as I don't really get messages or anything.

I've been doing the chainsaw snipes, flicks and outjuking the jukes with the occasional strong tile which I generally abandon since I'm only running grim embrace as slowdown. My other perks are BBQ, Lethal Persuer, and Friends till the end. Tobmy understanding Billy is considered a top 3 or at least top 4 killer, and is not longer as oppressive since his chainsaw miss recovery isn't so fast anymore. That being said, he snowballs extremely hard and it's how most of my games go. I occasionally run into really good survivors, but it's always been a 2k at least. Altruistic bully teams don't do well at all either. The only times I really struggle is indoor maps, which I'm forced to mostly M1 and zone.

As a killer, I can't be bothered to play him.

I generally dislike hard to control killers, and the initial turn rate screwed me over more than it helped.

I use to enjoy him but as usual Bhvr over buffed him so he is annoying. Even if he misses the saw he can just use it again and you can't even gain distance and all of them use the add ons to make his turning braindead easy.

Old billy was much more punishing for missing saw hit and required far more skill. I suppose I just accept now that all eventually will all be turn off brain mode.

He's definitely a monster, but good survivors can definitely give him a hard time regardless of how good he is. He simply struggles a lot at certain loops where his chainsaw isn't very valuable. I find that catching survivors in dead zones or putting high pressure on gens is a better priority than trying to win a loop you can only M1 at.

He's great. Perfectly tuned and expressive. He is the epitome of a perfect killer

He is strong, but requires extensive knowledge and has a huge skill ceiling

He's in a good spot imo. Difficult to play for sure, but he's very strong in the right hands and there are plenty of opportunities to counter his power so he feels fair.

He def feels less cheesy to face after his last round of nerfs, plus I don't verse him as much after said nerfs so I'm not as exhausted of mostly only having to face Billies now.

He seems to be a lil harder to play than before, but its fun to play him, its not easy by any take.

It takes a lil to get used to when the chainsaw goes off its a lil unstable like "WOOOOOAH #########", but its not an issue to me.

I used to vehemently dislike playing as him due to my impatience with learning his; admittedly, super basic power. But once I got a handle on that I felt like that Danny DeVito gif - he's fun from time to time but easy to get burnt out on.

Playing against him is disheartening to say the least. I'm not very good at survivor so if I hear a chainsaw in my match I immediately lose hope. I'm sure he's pretty easy to juke but that isn't my strong suit

I feel like he is nearly in a perfect spot (strong power, high skill ceilling, fun to play, and beloved by many players). Yes, he is very strong but has some fair counterplays after his latest nerfs. However, I wish his Overdrive would be based on hooking survivors instead of just spamming M2 like "after hooking a survivor, you gain Overdrive for the next 30seconds" (with the old speed of cause). That would be more fair and rewarding. His current Overdrive speed and gain feels also rather meh. I am also a little bit afraid that with the next patch, he will become a stronger sluggerkiller due to the 40meter Terrorradius (with Infectious Fright, Coulrophobia, Hex: Third Seal, Deer Stalker or filler) and the fact he gets Overdrive by spamming - getting Overdrive right after a down or being nearly close to it but loosing progress due to hooking comes also into play. But the same could happen with Blight too - but could be wrong with both.

Lastly, I don't like the way how they nerfed Lowpro. The devs love to nerf unhealthy addons into the ground so they are no longer unhealthy or harder to use (e.g. they did it with the instadown addons of Clown and Huntress too). Unhealthy addons should get a rework into something still useful but healthy for the game.

I aboslutely HATE how you use his power, move rhe mouse just slightly at the beginning, and thr dude takes a 90° turn to smack a wall... Also I hate that he gets stopped by any pixel on the path... I dont even bother to play him anymore, it's incredibly frustrating

Not as of late? I'm always thinking about if I should be using be using my power or going for the M1, or abandoning the chase. I've been playing Billy for years until he got nerved and picked him back up when he got buffed again. I know how his curve works and I know how to use his immediate turn at the start of his chainsaw. It takes practice and it takes time, especially weaving through obstacles. I use controller by the way.

If only they'd remove the Chainsaw Scream...
