I’m so tired of RPD

I don’t know if this is exclusive in EU servers or if one of the big content creators did this, but it seems every other Killer match Survivors take me to the RPD with Lithe & MFT.

I’m pretty sure this is because they want to counter Kaneki but it’s so boring and frustrating to play against with any killer. It’s a miracle to catch up when I’m playing a killer with no mobility, especially during the event. I’ve noticed they tend to hide on the balconies with blood canisters prepared to do Blood Gens and that is such a pain to reach, especially when you have 3 other survivors and other gens to worry about. They also seem to be attempting that hook bug (why haven't we killswitched that btw BHVR?).

I am not thankful for the MFT resurgence Kaneki has brought.

Yeah, you’re not wrong for adapting. I literally can't blame survivors for wanting a fighting chance against Kaneki. The twisting hallways of RPD are perfect at making sure he can't leap ahead of you, but he can still catch up relatively quickly. It's just exhausting to go against it so much and know my struggles are due to something outta my control. Then again, that’s probs how survivors feel atm.

MFT seems to work best against Kaneki players who try to vault after you by using Leap, it's very much the difference between reaching a pallet/window or not.

I think it’s just bad timing. The event gutting a bunch of killers, RPD having a hook bug & the release of an oppressive killer has caused high tension and lack of diversity in killers & survivor builds.

Stealth/information builds are so good on RPD, can catch a lot of people off guard, surge has insane value too, I recommend going into custom games if you aren't sure of the layout so you can get used to it, it really helps with cutting people off and learning what you can do to mix up your chases as killer.

I run Surge usually, and it's not very useful in this event. Infectious Fright would be more useful, I think. However, I know every room & every hallway so my issue isn't navigation, it's just the layout leading into a a variety of pallets & windows for survivors.

Unfortunately the balconies can only be accessed from upstairs and when I notice a survivor on them I'm usually downstairs in the main hall, where they can notice me. If I want to reach them it’s already a lengthy process to take the main stairs, which is the obvious route. I could take the stealthier route but that’s far longer and such a time waste.

Which killer are you playing, coz it sounds like an m1 killer?

It's perfect for me, RPD is one of my best maps for tombstone Myers. Couple months ago I blew through over 120 RPD offerings in a few days (had a collection for a while). It's pretty funny when survivors think they are countering a ghoul but actually dooming themselves to a tombstone Myers when they bring RPD.

Ah, RPD, the most Hold W of Hold W maps. I swear half the people who take me there never even want to use the good pallets, just run in a straight line. I'm… not sure what they plan to achieve when I'm playing someone that does have the ability to catch up.

Personally, I'm not sure sending Killers to RPD is the gotcha a lot of Survivors think it is.

I've been sent to RPD so many times in both my Killer and Survivor games that there isn't a map I don't know better in the game. Besides, as a Legion main it can often be a pretty happy hunting ground for me (though I know other Killers like Trapper, Billy and Huntress suffer terribly on those maps).

I genuinely LOVE getting this map as Legion. And if it's to counter Kaneki... Well, I've not faced many Ghouls that've struggled on any maps, frankly. I think they're the third best Killer in the game right now.

It really depends how I feel as killer, at the beginning of my sessions I don't really care but as I begin to proceed further into my session that's when I get tired of it, and will begin to task manager at the loading screen to avoid the match overall and prevent getting a DC penalty. The people that do it, are the entire reason we're getting a map offering change.

No matter how many times I get sent there, I always get lost on… is it West Wing? Trying to get from the exterior exit gate to the main room. Go up the stairs, and yet, I keep going through the corridors expecting a left turn to have materialised somewhere. Brain just turns off when I play it. xD

I dunno, I find the stealthy Killers in my roster do great on RPD!

I feel the same way about Hawkins. No idea where I am on that map. Those dead end rooms that spawn with only one way in or out? Yeah, I'm guaranteed to run into one at the worst possible time.

I don’t have this problem but I’ve also done 2 play throughs of RE2 so I have experience

It’s one of the few maps stealth killers thrive on. Normally they do fine on most maps but RPD makes them go nuts. So much fun to sneak up and insta down someone as Ghostface

I've been playing more Pig lately too and she's a blast on maps like RPD. She's also surprisingly good on Toba depending on her cosmetic as the red blends in.

Actually I find stealth Killers do pretty decent on Toba overall, despite its size - lots of spots for the Stalkers, lots of hiding places, and they can often be very hard to see in all the foliage and clutter. The only problem is how big the map is.
