Just remove the abandone feature already
I was always critical of the abandon feature but posting how the game sees every option feels like its the final nail in the coffin.
If all remaining Survivors abandon it is a tie. So lets say you get the 3k, win the hatch race, down the Survivor, they DC while you Mori them/carry them to the hook. This counts a tie for the last Survivor in the match? No, it should be a loss. This is also abuseable. If you all are losing, just have everyone run at the killer and if they down all of you, you can turn the game into a draw? The scenario with bots is also flawed. When your 3 teammates DC you'll likely lose the game, not draw.
The Killer scenarios are even worse. If the Survivors don't do gens for 10 minutes, thats a loss? So you are encouraging the Survivors to hide for 10 minutes. Like I would understand draw, but a killer loss? Also, if all Survivors are bots thats a draw? So if all Survivors DC due to being on the ground that should just be seens as a draw for everyone. Or if they Survivors ragequit because you brought Franklin's or Lightborn against a Flashlight Squad you have to play the annoying bot game out?
The Abandonen Scenario has been a flawed idea from the start. Please just remove it.

Nah, being able to leave when in losing scenarios is good to avoid being bled out, or being held hostage. The main problems they're having is just understanding what constitutes a win, and the edge-cases where players specifically try and abuse mechanics to get an advantage. This system would be great if survivors lost when not doing gens for 10m, but should probably be 'no gens or chase time for 10m' to avoid the edge case where a killer refuses to start chase while standing in the middle of a 3gen. The system isn't flawed, BHVR's understanding of how the system should work is flawed, and we should give feedback on what the problems are, and how to fix them.
Hell, i'd be fine with killer losing if it was a situation where survivors were being held hostage. It'd probably work if you had a very specific condition like 'A killer has downed, but not hooked survivors for 5 minutes' or something.
Its their choice if they listen to us or not. If they don't, they're just gonna cause the game's playerbase to peter out. (Doesnt help that the community is also extremely divided between a lot of stances either, or not willing to do research on numbers)0 -
My friend and I have gotten into the habit of abandoning when the option pops up because the end screen loads immediately instead of stalling, and so far the game never gives us the "server not responding, disconnected" error (which, even though the match is over, takes away all of our progress: BP, XP, Tome/Ritual progress) if we abandon instead of wait through the animation.
(I wish I could abandon the moment I get through the exit gate, too, because sometimes I've gotten the "server not responding" error when it's loading the end screen after an escape. I don't need to watch my escape animation, thanks, I'd rather have all my Bloodpoints and progress.)
Why is the abandon feature so much smoother than finishing the match? Any answers to that, BHVR?
Anyway, the problem isn't the abandon feature, it's BHVR's backwards handling of it. When the killer abandons because the survivors haven't done anything for 10 minutes (I've had this happen, I wasn't holding a 3-gen, in each case they just weren't doing anything), it should be a draw, the survivors die and get no escape points but the killer doesn't get a "no one escaped" bonus, either. And when the survivor abandons because the killer has won, the killer has won, it's a win for the killer and a loss for the survivor, give the Bloodpoints and MMR adjustments accordingly.
BHVR makes no sense with how they chose to handle this.
Edit: Did someone at BHVR downvote this because I asked why they can't code their game so it doesn't stall out and take away my Bloodpoints after a match is over? I'm going to go a step further and ask why it seems to do this when there are multiple BP offerings in play. Is the game unable to handle the extra math and so it kicks me instead?

No. Being able to opt out of being killer's plaything is amazing feature. No more ego stroking after the match is clearly over.
Feels good.

its all survivors draw and killers lose it's only in favor for survivors

It's dumb that the last surv can literally never lose.

I feel this is so true

The abandon mechanic is not going to end well. As if the game wasn't toxic enough, now we get "ffs go next". All of which negatively impact the killer.
Not saying there is a bias here or anything 😐️

Its a good idea, bad execution. Like the survivor doesn't need to see the killer mori for it to be satisfying and they can go to the next game. But taking away a win for the killer (even if it doesn't directly affect the killers MMR) will affect the survivor. If you abandon each match and technically draw (mmr doesn't go up or down) then all that will happen is that bad survivors will just get killers they aren't ready for. I don't want some noobs going against my Dracula with no idea how to dodge. This will be an issue, especially for after the FNAF chapter it needs fixing now.

I do see your point about survivors sacrificing themselves because they are losing. Maybe they can do something about that?
I believe that abandoning should be a lost for anyone who abandons… killer or survivor.
